He said he was shortening the bench. Basically 8 players play now. That makes stuckey a rotation player with big minutes. Then Hayes and Maxiell at the forward spots. That's forcing a lot of time on Stuckey. He's backing up both guards spots so that's what 20 minutes a game for him.

^That's also 38 mpg for Chauncey and Rip. and Maxiell backing up C frequently.
This team is way too deep to limit ourselves to 8 players at ANY point. Pre-season, regular season, post-season.
I suppose I'd be ok with it if we tailored our 8 man rotation towards the opponent, but we all know Flip wouldn't do that. Flip Murray is too talented to be inactive. Amir Johnson is being paid too much to watch from the bench. I could go on. Depth is a luxury and a *smart* coach would know how to utilize all of it.
