How many picks from Philly to us would it require to make this a suitable trade for us to do??

It’s expirings for expirings….they just get the upgrade in talent and make a playoff push. We get picks…

Do they have a late first to offer?

I like those lotto tickets.

If we could get the 4 version of Sasser, that would be great.

Philly and the Knicks both want Bogey/Burks. Bidding war?

Doesn’t matter…Weaver will settle for first team to offer him a 2nd

He11, he might throw in a 2nd from us just for fun…

We have until tomorrow afternoon to make moves. I believe we'll make 2 more moves to shake this roster up.

Wiggins, Bridges, OG. Those are realistic targets for us to get a couple of high level forwards. Bridges and/or OG will likely have to wait until summer so we don’t waste any assets if they wouldn’t stay with us. Leaves Wiggins for the trade deadline. I know several people think he’s done. I’m in the camp that he’s going through personal issues and not physical ones. He’s still young enough to earn that contract. A Bogey-Wiggins deal would make me happy.

The Pistons also remain engaged with the Grizzlies on a potential Killian Hayes trade with the sticking point second-round draft pick compensation, league sources told HoopsHype.

Sticking point is probably that the Grizzlies want the pistons to attach a pick

That's gotta be it because you take ANY pick for him. Unless there's a player coming back with more money on their deal.

If we land Sarr, we should trade the rights for Wiseman. A dream situation would be trade for Jarred Vanderbilt or Johnathan Issac (If he can stay healthy). If we land Risacher or Buzelis then we keep Wiseman. Give him a 2 year with a team option for the 2nd year. But either way it goes, this team need more length and shooting.

Negotiation rights cannot be traded in the NBA. The trade deadline was the final day of trade eligibility for Wiseman.

How so? Vanderbilt is a power forward who can't shoot. Isaac is a nutcase who can't stay healthy and also still hasn't established any pedigree as a shooter.

Why? He's been a complete disaster on the court in both of his seasons with the Pistons -- unequivocally one of the worst players in the league -- and he's made minimal progress since he arrived in Detroit.

If we keep Wiseman it should be as our 15th man on a minimum salary for a single year. No need to pay him anything more than that. I do think other teams would have interest in him possibly (unlike Hayes) but no one should/will pay him more than a minimum deal.

I'm currently of the opinion that it's almost a certainty that if we have subpar players on a roster that they will inevitably be played ahead of players who are obviously better fits and would otherwise make us more likely to win basketball games.

Neither fit nor merit are ever factored into the determination of who plays ahead of whom on a game-to-game or even minute-by-minute basis. Instead the choice seems rooted in a blind allegiance to certain players; possibly based on loosely-founded cultural concerns or to save the face of management for bad contracts/personnel decisions.

TLDR: No to extending Wiseman. The only way to prevent misuse of awful players above worthy players on our roster is to remove the awful player alternative entirely.
