Come on man, not every shot that doesn't go in is a "bad play".

I was going to reply wondering what game he was watching. I've been relatively happy with what I have seen of Fontecchio so far...

He wasn't perfect, thus, he was bad.

Can't be too upset with a close loss to the top team in the West on their home floor. We did our usual dance of going cold in the 4th and letting the opposition get a decent lead that we couldn't surmount.

Ivey continues his strong play as our first (or equal first) option on offense. Cade with some strong plays to bring us back late in the 4th. Fontecchio looks solid and ideally should be our 4 starting alongside Ausar (although I'm sure Stew will start when he returns). TBJ looks like a rotation piece. Sasser needs more minutes.

It’s a loss but I’m feeling pretty good for the rest of the season. Hopefully we can go into the off-season with a reason to be optimistic.

He played well, but his play the last 5 minutes was one of the reasons why we lost.

It was mostly on Monty who didn't reconized how small they were. It was a layup line every possession, but we continued to shoot and missing shots.

But Fontecchio and Troy Brown Jr were terrible the last 5 minutes of the game and we should've given Duren the ball inside, they had no one with size to stop him.

Seeing the #7 jersey still gives me bad vibes.

I sure wish Troy Brown Jr would have selected a different number.

I feel like it's a cursed number as busts Brandon Knight and Stanley Johnson also wore it, as well as the failed free agent signing Ben Gordon.

26 to 7 free throw attempts. Didn't even bother trying to hide it.

Get real.

I think we lost because our 2 best players have like 200 games of combined experience and they've got 4 1st ballot hall of famers that know how to win games down the stretch. I wouldn't really put it on the role players.

Simone had far more positives than negatives. Much much better defense than Burks/Bojan and super active. Yes, I'll take a guy getting an untimely foul trying to fight for a rebound over a guy that just lets it bounce to the other team 99% of the time. Very early but he looks like a really nice return for an early 2nd round pick.

Yeah this was pretty egregious. There was one Harden three pointer where he missed and you could see the refs waiting to blow the whistle once the ball hit the rim, but obviously wouldn't have called it if the ball had gone in. Frustrating bail out calls.

Pistons are coming regardless. Past three games you can feel the difference. The new players are a great addition, and the chaff has been cut.(save for Wiseman).

Real NBA players, up and down the roster.

Super excited for the team now.

Monty actually got off his seat and was moving pretty quickly, and into the game... Anyone notice Cade not moving well from the end of the 1st? I kept watching, and it seemed like he walked it up just fast enough to avoid an 8-second clock violation, and he's definitely not 100%.

Still, this team is looking a lot better compared to the first 1/4 of the season.

Fontecchio's defense was bad. It was Burks level of bad as I have been saying he is since we traded for him.

He had a good game, his mistakes combined with the other things I said and a few more cost us the game. It's mostly on Monty for not abusing Duren when they had no one capable of contesting him inside, but Fontecchio's play during the last 5 minutes of the game was a disgrace, on both sides of the floor. You can spin it any way you want, but that is a fact.

"A disgrace". So dramatic...

No, he's not going to stop PG13 or Kawhi every time down the floor. He isn't prime Kawhi lol. These guys have been lighting up solid defenders for a decade+. But it's VERY obvious that he plays with a lot more effort and has an ability to stay with guys and move his feet far greater than Burks or Bojan have in a long time. You can't just blindly believe CraftedNBA and then watch the game trying to justify those beliefs at all costs. (They'd tell you Ivey is a better rim protector than Wemby after all)

He was solid. Not perfect on either end (no one is), but the guy unequivocally looks like a quality NBA rotation player. You're just trying to justify your position on the trade. Your first reaction was that you didn't like him or the deal and now you're locked in. Nitpicking for any little reason to confirm your bias.
