I think he's a solid rotation player but he'd be a well below average starter. He's still just 25 and a 3 year deal would likely hit his best 3 years at ages 26/27/28 he'll be what normally is a player's prime years. He's clearly an upgrade over all of our guards except Cade.

3 years $45 million might get the job done.

I'm still fine with essentially spreading the $ out to three guys and drafting someone with our picks for a total of four new rotation players to add to Cade/Ivey/Ausar/Font/Duren/Stew.... Font is essentially a new guy as well so that's 5 of 10 man rotation being new players which I think is enough of a turnover. 6 of top 12 being new when you factor in Grimes and then a few vets in those 13-15 spots or possibly a 2nd rounder.

I'd also be thrilled at a trade but no one is going to put any value on our guys with our team being so awful a trade feels unlikely to be a win for us unless we're absorbing a contract with our cap space.

He would be one of the SG I got after. I think he would be better than Grimes and push him for his spot.
