No he didn't. He was terrible. We should have played Daye and Kwame instead of Wilcox and Summers during garbage time. He gave Lakers the win. They were in serious trouble. The game would be down by 7 we would have the ball and enough time to get it down to 1 possession.

The great thing about this game is, after some dumb mistakes when Lakers put pressure on us and a few bad decisions, Bynum had anoher huge game. He played really great and got our players involved with a few great assists. He also got Lakers defense in trouble.

Maxiell played a great game. He did a great job against Andrew Bynum on both sides of the floor. Played with energy got some important offensive plays and got a monster block on Shanon Brown IIRC, that block was huge that dunk would get Lakers on fire and Max rejected it. I hope you keep playing with that energy Max, that was so different than the lazy ass you have being. I am glad to see him playing great after so long.

Stuckey/Gordon/CV had terrible games, i don't care what the numbers say, they were a disaster tonight.

+/- is the most ridiculous stats. Yes Stuckey had a LAUGHABLE game. Summers was a joke, and he got a +12 ;)

Oh yeah i forgot to mention. Summers had the highest +/- from our side and the 4th on both sides.

Honestly, if RIP and Prince were healthy Stuckey should be the 5th guard/wing right now.

More often than not he hasn't had a positive impact on the game for Detroit.

It will be interesting to see what happens to Bynum and Stuckey's minutes once RIP/Prince get back.

Its not a ridiculous stat at all....

It 100% accurately shows how the team did when a player was in the game.

The team did great in the 4th when Summers was in the game.

The team got killed by 30 the 30+ minutes Stuckey was in the game.

i wholeheartedly agree with this. Bynum deserves every single minute he gets.

Gotta wonder though... conventional wisdom says we're looking to deal one of our guards (Rip most likely) for a big man... but with Rip's age and contract, its going to be hard to find a good deal... if Bynum keeps playing at this level consistently and Rip comes back, if that doesn't make Stuckey the one who's possibly dangled in a deal. Being a young guy who's playing decently, he'd be a lot more intriguing to teams.

Stuckey nor Bynum is a true point guard, they're both scoring threats that love to attack the rim. But tonight, we saw Bynum getting guys involved, a good sight to see for sure. Miss that sort of ball movement from the Chauncey era.

Kobe gets 40 in Lakers' 106-93 win over Pistons
Kobe Bryant scored 40 points for the 100th time in his career, and the Los Angeles Lakers avoided a rare three-game losing streak with a 106-93 victory over the Detroit Pistons on Tuesday night.

Will Bynum scored 10 of his 24 points in the final period for the Pistons, who opened a four-game West Coast trip with their second straight loss. Detroit chopped the Lakers' lead to 98-91 with 1:55 to play before former Michigan State guard Shannon Brown made three free throws and a soaring dunk to seal it.

Bryant led the Lakers in scoring for the 10th time in 11 games. Andrew Bynum also was steady again, delivering his eighth game with at least 10 points and 10 rebounds.

What exactly is a true point guard? Aside from not having a good jump shot or 3pt range, bynum possess all qualities that a PG should have.

He can handle pressure well and does pretty well when he gets trapped. He got kwame **** brown and other big man open dunks under the basket. Kwame has such **** bad hands that to get him a in game dunk by it self is amazing. Replace kwame with some one who can catch the damn ball and you could easily see bynum averaging 6+++ assist. It still amazes me that we dont have much alley-hoop plays. The only one that i remember was 1 from maxielle.

Check the +/-. This would indicate that Rodney has been more effective than Will so far this year. I tend to disagree with it, which is why I take these numbers with a grain of salt.

The team that did great in the 4th did so largely because they were playing against the Laker's C squad. This is why those numbers can't always be taken for face value.

Gordon was -18.

People are being quick to bash Stuckey.

The Lakers simply did a great job of taking the starting backcourt out of the game and leaving it to the Piston frontcourt to respond. Unfortunately, Villanueva did not get into a groove. Maxiell stepped up, but he's not a 20+ scoring threat.

Promising start, but the Lakers got rolling in the second quarter.

They played good defense on the Pistons' guards, forcing the frontcourt to carry the team. Villanueva was out of it for a second straight game, but worse with just 2 points and 4 rebounds. He did play solid defense.

Bynum and Maxiell led a great fourth quarter comeback, though. Bynum got the team's energy going again. Maxiell had his best game of the season with 13 points, 7 rebounds, and 2 blocks. One of 'em was a great point blank block at the basket of Shannon Brown who climbed the ladder to throw down a dunk. Maxiell just went up one rung higher and put up a "no fly" zone.

It was an odd lineup with DaJuan Summers, Chris Wilcox, Kwame Brown, Jonas Jerebko, Bynum, and Maxiell who brought Detroit to 98-91 with 1:55 left to go. Kuester is sending a message to the starters to compete and have no let downs. The Pistons can't afford them any time, but especially when they're still without Hamilton and Prince. Hopefully, Maxiell can be to the frontcourt what Bynum is to the backcourt. And Wilcox showed some activity and production during his few mintues on the court. The Pistons need him to step up and join Villanueva as a scorer and rebounder. Solid defense won't hurt.

The rest of the West Coast trip will be brutal now.

The starters did get a break in the second half, which hopefully, they'll put to good use against a hot Portland team tonight.

This is a growing time for the young Pistons.

Max would be worth his contract if he could play like that everynight- I don't know what happened to him... Maybe after getting his contract he just lost it...
