Either Stuckey or Gordon is going to guard Kobe. This is going to get ugly

^ Agreed. At least Bynum will only have Fisher to worry about. Stuckey/Gordon will have Artest/Kobe the whole game. We need to attack them on offense.
I don't think we have a prayer. I just hope we sustain no injuries.

He's gonna have to guard them in return. Heck even with Kobe, our backcourt is still better and if Gordon can somewhat neutralize Kobe's scoring and Stuck and Bynum are rolling, all we'd have to worry about is their Bynum...

Expect another poor shooting night for Gordon. Kobe's intensity lights up on both ends of the floor when he gets to go against a high proflile scorer.
I am more comftable having stuckey guarding kobe. Kobe has been getting a good chunks of baskets in the paint. Stuckey will be a harder opponent to post up than BG.
This would be a game where i wouldnt mind seeing Kwame play more than 20 minutes a game.
Ben Wallace cant defend big monsters like andrew bynum and dwight howard. I expect ben to struggle and disappear like the magic game. THe Lakers front line is just too big for wallace to be effective.
Kwame Brown was playing against andrew bynum in LA practices, he must feels somewhat excited for this match up. If we don't see his best performance in this game, this man is really lacking in balls.
ALSO they booed Kwame here. Any self respectign player would want to bring their best to the place that booed them.
I would not be surprised if they put Ron artest on CV. It would be hilarious if we play Jerekbo against Artest and get Artest to get in touch with his insanity again.
This is going to be a match up nightmare for pistons unless Stuckey and Bynum both have big nights like tonight.

You do realize Kobe is hurt with a groin pull, right?

Any Hamilton news? Is Rip at least traveling with the team?
A healthy Rip Hamilton would be very nice to have to give us a shot in this one.

Lakers have look bad lately, hopefully this isn't a statement game for them.

If the Rockets can beat the Lakers in LA, we've got a reasonable shot. Especially with no Gasol and an unhealthy Kobe.
Also, Rip is expected to travel with the team on the trip, meaning there's a good chance he'll see some action at some point.

I'm not sure a home win over a fringe playoff team playing its 3rd game in 4 days while missing two core players, would qualify as a "statement" for the champs. But, they will be certainly be looking to re-rail themselves.

Any way we put Jerebko on Kobe and Stuckey on Artest? Summers might be a good matchup defensively against Artest. This is one matchup where keeping Washington might have made some sense. BTW, Afflalo played Kobe great defensively about a week ago - totally frustrated him.
The Lakers are almost a polar opposite of us now - we're small ball, and they play with size everywhere.....

Luke Walton will be out of this game for the Lakers with a pinch nerve.

No Luke Walton?
Pistons - 130
Lakers - 70

Both Rip and Tay are travelling with the team for the West coast games but that doesn't mean either are close to playing.

Neither have been with the team during games, nor traveled with the team. Rip is expected to travel on the west coast trip but isn't expected to play. I've heard nothing about Tay except that he's getting better.
