I hate when announcers say good pitch when it isnt one.. that ball was out of the zone on 2-0. That isnt a good pitch.. he got lucky.

If the batter swings and doesn't get a hit it is a good pitch in my mind...

When youre trying to throw a pitch in the zone and you throw it outside of the zone and the hitter swings.. that isnt a good pitch.. that is lucky.. a good pitch is when the pitch goes where you want it to go.. end of story.. regardless of what the batter does.. and that ball didnt go where it was called too.. so therefore it isnt a good pitch.. it was luck on their part that the hitter swung.

Come on guys, I've seen this 100 times this year...we come back but decide to turn off the engines when we get within 1.

So on 0-2 a nasty curve that bounces in the dirt and the hitter looks like a fool going after is a bad pitch?

Braun absolutely sucks in big situations. I have yet to see a clutch hit out of him in the 60 games or whatever it is that he has played.

I've let it go all along though since he is a rookie but he really needs to get something done there if we are going anywhere this year.

did you read anything I wrote.. I said on 2-0. No strikes that wasnt a good pitch.. not because it was out of the zone but because it was called to BE IN THE ZONE.. and it wasnt thrown where it was suppose to be..

HOW can you even ask that.. cmon.. were all smart here.. with 2 strikes we all know that catchers call for nasty curves and we all know that with ppl with good curves they go in the dirt.. but that is what is CALLED and expected with 2 strikes..

with 2 balls its different..

It doesnt matter if the ball is IN THE ZONE OR OUT OF THE ZONE.

What makes a PITCH a GOOD or BAD pitch is whether or not it goes where it is called to go. If it doesnt go where you met to throw it, it might LOOK like a good pitch and actually be a GOOD pitch, but it isnt a good pitch.

A good pitch is one that GOES WHERE IT IS MEANT TO GO.

So when I said that it was 2 balls and no strikes and the catcher called for a ball in the zone and it fell deep inside and low that wasnt a good pitch because it didnt go where it was meant to.. it worked out and could be considered a good pitch.. but i dont consider something you didnt mean to do good.. i consider that luck and that is what it was.. but 0-2.. thats just silly to ask me that.. PLEASE
