All-Time Yankee 25-Man Roster
The New York Yankees have the most storied franchise in all of sports and have had their share with some of the best to ever throw on a baseball jersey. What would be your All-Time Yankee 25-Man Roster in a present AL?
- List all 25 men
- Batting order, including DH with defensive positions
- 5-Man rotation, relievers, setup man, closer
- Bench for substitutions, pinch hitters and pinch runners, including defensive positions
- Manager
- Probable record, no matter how idiotic others might think it is

Wang? That is a little crazy. Wetteland was good here, but he only pitched 2 years for us.
I became a true fan of this team around 95/96. Wetteland is someone who stuck with me as a kid. It's sort of a personal preference. Also, Reggie Jackson wasn't really a Yankee either the guy had just as many if not more great seasons with other teams.
Wang -- yea a bit crazy but I was never a Stottlemyre guy and I was going to say Clemens or Boomer but I figured I'd give the kid a shot.
Idea for some: Do the All 25 man roster from 96 - present -- too many of my fav's are getting left out because of the epic greatness of Babe Ruth and such. Just a suggestion.

Yeah I see where your coming from. Although Jackson wasn't a Yankee for many years, he made such a huge impact in the postseason for this team. More so than half the guys on the rosters that we made up.
Stottlemyre is also a great Yankee, his performance in the '64 WS was impressive...going up against Bob Gibson 3 times in games 2, 4, and 7, and finishing 1-1.

Wetteland had a nice impact on our postseason play as well.
You make a great case for Mel but it's just a personal thing. If there were a spot for pitching coach then he can have it on my roster .

You forgot about Tony Lazzeri at 2b. I would also think you'd have to find a place for Paul O'Neil

Lazzeri may be better than Soriano but when Sori was a Yankee I was a tremendous fan of his. I actually went out and met the dude twice to get his autograph and he was cool man. Just as with my choice to put Wetteland and O'neill on my teams -- it was a personal choice.
