Since we're a week out, I'll do one now and likely another one next Wednesday. No trades, but in certain spots, I'll pick the spot.
1. Jaguars - QB Trevor Lawrence, Clemson
2. Jets - QB Zach Wilson, BYU
3. 49ers - QB Justin Fields, Ohio St. - Where the fun sort of begins. Several QB's in this range, and I think Fields is the favorite. This is the talent they traded up for.
4. Falcons - QB Trey Lance, North Dakota St. - Almost certain this will be our first draft night trade. Contenders: NE, DEN(?). If no trade, this might be Kyle Pitts. Get the sense Atlanta wants to get out of this spot.
5. Bengals - WR Ja'Marr Chase, LSU - Still considered to be the best WR prospect to come out in awhile, let's remember that at age 19 in a historic offense, he was THE MAN for Joe Burrow. The 2 get paired up once again.
6. Dolphins - TE Kyle Pitts, Florida
7. Lions - OT Penei Sewell, Oregon - Trade spot #2. Watch out for the Chargers. Lions may take Sewell anyway, but also think Waddle could be the pick here.
8. Panthers - OL Rashawn Slater, Northwestern - Another team rumored to trade down.
9. Broncos - CB Patrick Surtain Jr., Alabama - First defensive player off the board will likely be Surtain.
10. Cowboys - CB Jaycee Horn, South Carolina
11. Giants - WR Jaylen Waddle, Alabama - Team looking to trade down, possibly. Too soon to take a pass rusher. Waddle is probably BPA for a lot of teams.
12. Eagles - WR DeVonta Smith, Alabama - Traded down with Miami to get an additional asset (future 1) and to pick either Smith or Horn. If Horn is available, I think he's the pick. Smith is not a bad consolation prize.
13. Chargers - OT Christian Darrisaw, Virginia Tech - Chargers backup plan if they fail to trade up for Sewell.
14. Vikings - OL Alijah Vera-Tucker, USC
15. Patriots - QB Mac Jones, Alabama - They may make a big move for a QB, but in this mock, settle for Jones, who feels about right in this spot.
16. Cardinals - LB/DE Zaven Collins, Tulsa - Didn't really look like an edge player at Tulsa, but bulked up to 270 makes me think that's where the NFL envisions him. Versatile piece for a defense that seems to like these type of players.
17. Raiders - LB Micah Parsons, Penn St.
18. Dolphins - OLB Azeez Ojulari, Georgia
19. Washington - OT Teven Jenkins, Oklahoma St.
20. Bears - OT Samuel Cosmi, Texas
21. Colts - DE Kwity Paye, Michigan
22. Titans - CB Greg Newsome, Northwestern
23. Jets - LB Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, Notre Dame
24. Steelers - RB Najee Harris, Alabama
25. Jaguars - S Trevon Moehrig, TCU
26. Browns - DT Christian Barmore, Alabama
27. Ravens - OLB Jayson Oweh, Penn St.
28. Saints - WR Rashod Bateman, Minnesota
29. Packers - ILB Jamin Davis, Kentucky
30. Bills - DE Jaelan Phillips, Miami
31. Chiefs - OT Alex Leatherwood, Alabama
32. Buccaneers - OLB Joe Tryon, Washington
