He is the likely odd man out......IDK about the option, I'd assume they still can.

They should look to see what Gomes value is on the market. I'm not saying to trade him right away, but at least inquire as to what type of pitching they could receive for him.

I like Gomes. He has a role to play. It's just that he's started so badly that he's going to lose out to Pena, who's been better and who can play first. And it's a shame. So I'd like to not lose him from the organisation. Not yet.

I think Gomes value has really fallen.

I hope they find a way to hang on to him too. Hopefully, Gomes figures it out soon.

There has got to be a team in the AL that might take a flier on this guy, on his bat. Maybe a lowgraded prospect.
