Yeah, I'm an Oklahoma guy now when it comes to the national championship. They're my number two team behind the Huskies. My lady is an Oklahoma girl. We've kind of embraced each others teams. I feel bad when Oklahoma loses and cheer for them to win. I weep inconsolably when the Huskies lose and make deals with the devil himself for them to win.

My guess for the next CFB ranking top 10 coming out in a few days:

1-Clemson
2- OU
3- Auburn
4- Wisky
5- Bama
6- UGA
7- Miami
8- OSU
9- PSU
10- USC

At most Maybe flip Miami and UGA, but otherwise that should be it this coming Tuesday.

resume is the one and only thing that should matter. so tired of hearing stuff like "we're trying to select the 4 best teams." no, no we're not. not if one of the 4 best hasn't earned it
the donald, always unpopular, did worse in EVERY state in 2020. and by a greater margin in red states! 50 independently-run elections, none of them rigged

so clemson and oklahoma won, their in
georgia won pretty handily, safe to assume they jump bama and switch places with auburn in the top 4
wisconsin falls out but can ohio st jump enough teams (including bama) to get in it?

pretty major decision. does it feel like the current format of the playoff is at stake with this decision or am i overreacting?

Ive already taken Oklahoma win it all. But, the big decision for me is Ohio State. I would put Ohio State in the final 4. They are conference champions. That would be 4 conference champions battling it out for the Universe. That would be 3 strong QBs in the finals. As I do not see Georgia and Alabama having strong QB play.

Ohio state to Iowa is why they won’t be in it.

Well we didn’t win last year .

And let’s face it. A rematch of last years championship isn’t the worst thing. That game was an epic all time classic .

Would have been cut and dry if wisonsin won. Then it would have easily been just the 4 conference champions.

There’s no case for OSU jumping 4 spots though .

The committee has now set the precedent there is no need to play an OOC worth a damn. There is not even a need to win your conference anymore. Beat nobody special, don't lose more than 1 game, and don't even bother winning your conference

Let's call it what it was, it was Bama getting in because of past name and reputation, not what they have actually done, which is nothing.

Sucks but OSU shouldn't have got rolled by Iowa, should have played Haskins in B10 title game and won by 30 easy. Instead we didn't and we gave the committee a reason to hide behind.

8 team playoff is sorely needed, it has been evident every year of these playoffs.

Ohio State really didn't deserve to make the playoffs, but Bama sure as hell didn't either. Honestly USC deserved it more than either.

I wished we had a shot, but we got 2 road losses that pinned us to the wall.

Kidding? KIDDING! The Pac 12 is clearly the strongest conference, at least at the top half of it. Washington and USC are two of the top 3 or 4 best teams in the country. UCLA, Stanford, Washington State, Utah, and Colorado are all top 20-25 like teams.

I have to disagree. Right now they look good in the polls (like they do every year early in the season), but there really haven't been any impressive wins so far.

Washington snuck one past Rutgers, Wazzau took an enormous comeback at home to beat a Mountain West team, and Cal, Oregon and UCLA each picked up decent wins. But other than that the Pac 12 really hasn't done anything yet. And the bottom part of the conference looks DREADFUL (Oregon St, Arizona, Arizona St).

Again, I'm a Pac 12 fan and I hope that I'm wrong and that the rankings look the same towards the end of the season. But I think come mid-December the only Pac 12 teams in the top 25 will be Washington, USC, and maybe Stanford.

I was thinking back to this post the other day, looks like I really wasn't too far off. I overlooked Wazzau, but overall it was another very underwhelming season for the Pac 12.

I don't say this to brag about my post. I really love the Pac 12, and it makes me as sad as anyone to see it underperform year in and year out. It's been 26 years since a team from the "conference of champions" NOT named USC has won a national championship. I truly don't understand why it's so difficult for these west coast teams to compete with the big boys, and I hope it changes soon.

OMG! My beloved Washington Huskies just killing it on the recruiting front this year. Just got commitment from highly recruited 4 star DB from California. Chose UW over Alabama and USC. Highest rated recruiting class in the history of the UW program. First in the Pac 12 by 247, and ninth in the nation. Dawgs are the class of the Pac 12 now. By a top Pac 12 writer, Chris Petersen named top Pac 12 coach ahead of David Shaw (Stanford), Chip Kelly (UCLA), and Clay Helton (USC).

Child pleeeze. Be happy, but cmon, we all know who owns recruiting in that conference. Gameplay, sure, we can debate. But not recruiting
