losing non conference record is a killer, when 10 out 12 teams start the conference schedule with a loss it is tough to recover. many of them against fcs and group of 5 teams too which lowers the value of wins you could get in conference, nobody is going to respect a win against a team that lost to montana or nevada.

interesting how many games byu has against pac12, won em all too. might as well accept them into the conference.

BYU has two more Pac-12 games against washington state and usc. then they have a matchup against baylor and virginia. I believe they’ll go 7-0 in power 5 play this season. If undefeated, does that get them into the playoff?

there is a chance, it is a mess after the top 2 and likely will get messier. byu needs some of those teams to have good records and maybe cincinnati to lose as i think cincy will have priority if both unbeaten.

their best bet is if ASU wins out.

It really doesn't matter imo. I mean I don't see anyone standing Toe to toe with Bama or Georgia. These 2 teams are simply Loaded.

A&M is currently beating Alabama. Auburn beat Georgia. Iowa should move up.

iowa does just enough (on offense), its an absolute scrum every time with them but they have been pulling it out so far this year

does not look like this is a highly ranked team but that's where we are.

go hawks

iowa's offensive line is just bad this year which results in the offense being super dreadful. hopefully they stick with padilla at qb though, because he can actually move around (and be effective when doing so).

Jimmy Lake is out at Washington. Guy was handed the job when Peterson stepped down. He was a disaster.

iowa's standard practice is to win ugly. you'd think knowing that would make it less stressful but it doesn't. maybe because they seem to be going out of their way to try and snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. its a minor miracle we have nine wins with how bad the oline has been

iowa backs into the big10 championship game, and not against osu

we'll see if they can pull it off
