10 Most obnoxious fanbases

just sorta bored right now and came across this list on fox sports about the 10 most obnoxious fanbases. if anything it can make for some interesting conversation

here's the list:

10. Stanford

They live in the past and never shut up. They're sore losers and worse winners. Blackboard, meet fingernails. Presenting the 10 most obnoxious college football fan bases. At No. 10 is Stanford, whose fans honestly don't care about football because they're too smart to partake in such barbaric and plebeian activities. But they have no problem storming a field for an apparent victory, only to watch one of their trombone players get flattened on a rival's game-turning touchdown. the reasoning is pretty weak but not a terrible list, around where i live i know that everyone that isnt a texas tech fan hates there fans. i think id rank USC higher and maybe put another florida school on there, either florida or miami. though miami might be considered obnoxious for there play rather then there fans.

We've got more Ohio State fans down here then you'd think. I suspect most of them are fairweather fans, who use the "I'm an alumni' or 'My mom/dad went there' excuse.

Why Miami at 5? They strike me as pretty fair-weather fans that wouldn't exactly fit on this list, especially below an Alabama or a Texas.

And though I am a Gators supporter, I find it hard to believe that Free Shoes University's fan base is less obnoxious than Gator Nation.

pretty good list, i would put alabama and USC higher. OSU fans in Ohio might give ND fans run for their money but due to huge alumni based fan base around the country average fan isnt that bad.

Really? More people want to see Notre Dame win or lose than just about any other college football program. THAT is why we're on NBC. See: Boston Red Sox, New York Yankees, etc.

Not relevant in the last ten years? If you define relevancy as winning a National Title, then there are plenty of other programs behind us over the last ten years.

Remember the BCS game against LSU (I'm sure you all do)? Every Notre Dame fan that I talked to, including myself, readily admitted we stood no chance in that game.

People just love to hate Notre Dame, and thats ok - because I choose not to hate back.

Perfect example of how other people feel about Notre Dame: Every Saturday we go to a local bar that has the Notre Dame game on. Living in Georgia, the vast majority of the people in there are watching the UGA game. They will literally walk up to me and say things like - "You guys still going to suck ass this year?" "When is that fat **** of a coach going to die?"

You get the idea. That happens EVERY weekend, or any other time I have on anything Notre Dame related.

I just look at those dudes in the bar and go - "What year did you graduate from UGA?" They say, "Oh I went to Georgia Southern."

I then say "I can always tell."

Its comical.

You only say that because you're a Notre Dame fan living in Georgia. If you lived in Florida you would say Florida fans, if you lived in Tennessee you'd say Tennessee fans, etc. And I don't know if you have been around a bunch of Notre Dame fans, but they're just as obnoxious as fans of any team that sucks. It's hard to be too obnoxious when you have a season like ND had last year. As soon as (if) they're good again the fans will shoot right back up.
