Guess not. Maybe now the Ducks have a shot against USC at the Coliseum.

Now, not to brag or anything...but this post from Sunday certainly looks very prophetic now:

as of today, no one should even be invited to a national championship game vs. USC. we are on our own level. so it should read . . .

1. USC
2. will be notified when a worthy opponent is found
3. etc . . .

Must be nice to be that naive.

I wonder how he will feel when USC loses to Oregon State again next week.

Lol at USC again, it's not even an upset anymore when they lose to teams like this.

I laughed at the Pac-0 and USC's schedule, but I never made a negative comment about this Trojan team...until they were dominated by a midget (a talented midget and a cool dude, but a midget nonetheless). I'm positive they aren't as bad as they looked tonight, but this should silent all the people that were acting like this was the best team in years.

wow, now internet geeks turn prophet. however, if you read the post again, as of that date of defeating a top ranked opponent, and up to that point, no one else had played any tougher non-conference games, USC shouldve been ranked #1 hands down. so as of that date of the rankings, USC should have been #1.

our problem however, is reading their own press and our own IN-CONFERENCE screwups, it is what it is. but hey, give props to the oregon state. that is the 2nd time weve went up there and theyve come ready to play, and outplayed the squad from so. cal.

its time to move on and see how the rest of the year pans out. again . . . the waiting game for the end of the year.

Despite this loss, USC will still probably be ranked between 5-8. Though they don't deserve it.

The Pac-0 should be revoked of any BCS bid this year along with the ACC and Big East.

If they're still in the Top 10 come Sunday, I'm going to hammer throw Reggie Bush's Heisman through Pete Carroll's windshield.

So I send in my picks column about 15 minutes before the game starts, with USC the pick to comfortably win despite this being the type of game they struggle with. I watch the 1st half and wonder how in the world Fili Moala and Taylor Mays are draft prospects, let alone top 15 locks (which they are at this point).

Props to the Beavers for being the better coached and more prepared team.

This paves the way for Ohio State to get back to the BCS title game if they run the table and no SEC team finishes with just one loss, a distinct possibility. Actually the Buckeyes are likely to lose another so it won't matter.

Just a thought, but if USC loses again in the next 2-3 weeks there is the possibility that no Pac 10 teams would be ranked at all.

at least one OSU gets the job done.

this works great for Big 12 champion *cough* oklahoma *cough* as well as Wisconsin if they can somehow beat OSU and PSU at home.

I guess I have to change my BCS title prediction to Oklahoma vs the winner of the SEC.

Taylor Mays could very well be the most disappointing prospect I have seen in quite some time. I have been giving him the benefit of the doubt for a while now, but a guy with his size and athletic ability should be a beast in coverage, and a force in the run game. He's not even a guy that is just trying to knock guys out either, he should be a devastating tackler.

Never was big on Moala though, but Kevin Ellison looked really good.

There ya go.

But I think USC grinds it's way back into the fold, as will Ohio St.

Top 5/6 contenders are in no particular order, IMO;

UGA
UF
LSU
OSU
USC
OKlahoma

pretender/contenders;

Wisconsin
Penn State
Alabama
Missouri
BYU
USF
