If they're still in the Top 10 come Sunday, I'm going to hammer throw Reggie Bush's Heisman through Pete Carroll's windshield.

So I send in my picks column about 15 minutes before the game starts, with USC the pick to comfortably win despite this being the type of game they struggle with. I watch the 1st half and wonder how in the world Fili Moala and Taylor Mays are draft prospects, let alone top 15 locks (which they are at this point).

Props to the Beavers for being the better coached and more prepared team.

This paves the way for Ohio State to get back to the BCS title game if they run the table and no SEC team finishes with just one loss, a distinct possibility. Actually the Buckeyes are likely to lose another so it won't matter.

Just a thought, but if USC loses again in the next 2-3 weeks there is the possibility that no Pac 10 teams would be ranked at all.

at least one OSU gets the job done.

this works great for Big 12 champion *cough* oklahoma *cough* as well as Wisconsin if they can somehow beat OSU and PSU at home.

I guess I have to change my BCS title prediction to Oklahoma vs the winner of the SEC.

Taylor Mays could very well be the most disappointing prospect I have seen in quite some time. I have been giving him the benefit of the doubt for a while now, but a guy with his size and athletic ability should be a beast in coverage, and a force in the run game. He's not even a guy that is just trying to knock guys out either, he should be a devastating tackler.

Never was big on Moala though, but Kevin Ellison looked really good.

There ya go.

But I think USC grinds it's way back into the fold, as will Ohio St.

Top 5/6 contenders are in no particular order, IMO;

UGA
UF
LSU
OSU
USC
OKlahoma

pretender/contenders;

Wisconsin
Penn State
Alabama
Missouri
BYU
USF

I don't think it will be all that close.

Alabama isn't very good yet defensively. UGA will expose that IF their Oline holds up.

UGA 31
Alabama 17

alabama's defense isnt good yet? who's your supplier?

the reason bama loses is b/c of crappy play by jp wilson, which isnt unlikely

If Georgia's OL plays well then it will be a fairly easy win. Not a blowout, but one that's never really in doubt. Must say I'm a little nervous about the OL. Without Sturdivant the OL has been shuffled around each game. Hopefully they find th right combo soon.

I don't check Internet for a day and USC loses to freaking Beavers! The last time a Trojan lost to the beaver, OJ Simpson was making a run for the border. It was a good day.
First the federal government borrowed money; then gave the money to Bank of America; then I borrowed some of that money from Bank of America and gave it to the federal government; then the federal government gave the money back to Bank of America.

UConn and Louisville in a nice appetizer tonight. Which of course we're not watching so my wife can watch the presidential debate...

I picked UGA over Bama but it gets the lowest value in the confidence game. Not sure Bama's secondary can hold back the Dawgs, including when Moreno gets to the second level.

Where were you 2 years ago when OSU beat USC in Corvallis?

They lack depth at LB and DB.

They are off to a great start, but they do not have the defensive depth to survive their offense.

They are one year away from being real good. Right now they are "good"

Probably losing to a beaver too.
