My god, two more years (at least) of this.

Was it Kerr or Draymond?

Regardless.

Doesnt sound like a guy who's idea it was, but was OK with doing it.

BTW when I critique our coaching staff and our analytics dept, its this kinda **** right here. You know how they figured out to do this? They went to the NBA.com stats page, went to shots dashboard, saw that JB was hitting 29% on WIDE OPEN (6+ ft nearest defender) from 3, and eschewed any type of real logic and said "lets hinge our gameplan on that". Nevermind that he's averaging only 1 per game, nevermind that nearly 30% of them were with the shot clock winding down, or that almost 15% were from well beyond the arc (heat checks/desperate shots). They used a limited understanding of limited data and made a big gameplan change 15 minutes before tipoff

That is general board level analysis. And that's how either the Warriors analytics department works, or how educated the coaching staff is on them. Top 5 coach indeed..

I don't care what they were looking at. Your head coach has to be smarter than that and say no f***ing way.

Next strategy is crowd the paint and let everyone shoot wide open threes.

Steph has been looking old for 2 weeks now and was injured for a game time decision vs the Celtics. A team that at home has lost 3 or 4 games all season and was on an overall 10 game winning streak by an average of 19 points.

Great idea that Steph started, definitely needed him and his legendary offense out there tonight.

Imo, they didn't like nor trust the match up vs brown and Tatum. They chose to go gimmicky.

If zinger was playing, it would have been just as ugly because I think the plan was dray on zinger. So if Moody was on jrue, that's jk and klay vs Tatum and Brown with no help. Bad scheming and not having someone Kerr can trust to contain the J's was problematic. It also leaves steph on an island vs white with no help.

Plus, a brutal scheduling spot.

Steph probably shouldn't have played but it is a game in another city and Steph is a superstar. Good for fans that he attempted to make an appearance.

Maybe they started Steph because they didn't want to get fined for sitting Steph in a national TV game.

Kerr suggesting that move is kind of saying "we can't play them straight" and win. Woth a try but it completely backfired.

This was a schedule loss anyway. Might as well make use of it to try an experiment.

Did we not already beat them? Going away from what's working seems to be Kerr's thing, regarding either players or game plans.

Perhaps this was Steve's double top secret plan to not show the Celts anything prior to meeting them again in the Finals... or maybe not.

What's truly puzzling is having your best defensive player not guard anyone. I mean, go back and watch the lst quarter. Draymond is just hanging out in the paint, standing there, doing nothing. You take your best defensive player and tell him not to play defense? If the strategy is not to guard Brown, then put Klay or Steph on him, NOT Draymond.

Just terrible strategic thinking.

they should be fined for losing a national TV by 52 points. 52 points. it's like a no-show.

I think the entire season has been part of that plan.
This movie is like the Rocky Horror Picture Show where everyone knows all the lines.

Steph having to defend up most of the year is catching up.
