What injury for Moses?

The league has caught up. Even surpassed the splash brothers. Other teams are getting better threes than the Warriors. If Kerr insists on playing his way then the season is over. He should go George Costanza and do the opposite of what he thinks is right and maybe be able to salvage the season.

It has to be about the defense, I’m not counting on Klay or Curry in a do or die playoff situation.

Crazy were this far into the season and still searching for lineups and rotations.

Have to give Kerr credit though he has cut cp minutes.

I think the direction for pregame game plan called for hard quick passes. It led to a lot of turnovers. I call it the wasted motion offense.

The great thing about Kerr’s brilliant lineups is when Warriors big gets caught guarding an opponent’s small on perimeter, all the guard has to do is throw it inside and it’s automatic points for the opponent. And if Curry or Klay has an off night these dumb decisions add up.

Or when the forwards have to help out with the interior because everyone is small, the opponent passes out for the open three.

Kerr’s coaching used to be saved by the Splash brothers before the league caught on. But now there are no easy threes for those two.

Pathetic.

If I hear one more person talk about winning one more with this CORE :banghead: There IS NO CORE. Curry and maybe Draymond...and even Draymond has a great game every 4 games and can't score more than 10 points.

And we need to stop falling in love with a guy like Podz....he's a hustle guy who takes charges. That's just another role player. On a very good team he doesn't get a sniff.

Kerr needs to protect Podz. The fanbase is turning on him. He either needs to remove him from the starting lineup or cut his minutes and bench him if he is not taking shots or being a liability on defense. There are other players on this team, it doesn't have to be Pod or bust

Right now podz is afraid to shoot, he's in his head. I don't think he's made a lay up in 4 games, just flat out missing. He missed a lay up tonight that wasn't even close, it would make westbrook proud. And if he isn't going to shoot, how can he play with dray and jk, might as well start tjd.

OK, can we have a serious conversation about this team?

Facts. This is what you got from 3 of your 5 starters tonight:

Podz - 0 points
Green - 2 points
Wiggins 7 points

That's 9 points from 3 guys in your starting lineup.

This team is going nowhere when you have such pathetic scoring threats on the floor at the same time.

We had the size advantage in the post with jk and wiggs, yet we refused to make any post entry passes and settled for jumpers all game. I dont get why kerr doesn't call a play to hunt mismatches.

Dray losing the ball out if bounds on a 1-0 fastbreak is where we lost tge game.

As bad as everyone played, we would have been down 2 if he made that lay up. Knicks got all the momentum back with that turnover.

You guys need to realise that Brunson as first option is way better this season than Curry and NY isn’t TOP tier team in weaker conference. It shows how far we are from where want to be… if we won’t get real star to put Curry in Lillard/Durant position, GSW is max play-in team. Even Lebron with Davis in past 3y couldn’t secure TOP6 place once.

I recall in the last game Moody totally shut down Brunson. Remember that game? Knowing this, why he didn't start and guard Brunson from the opening tip is another mystery that only Steve Kerr can answer. Of course when he did enter, his knee started bothering him in those 8 minutes he played.

Anyway, as to your bigger point? Absolutely dead on. Curry needs a 2nd scoring option in the lineup. Unfortunately, Klay is so inconsistent and his defense is so brutal that he's a net minus as a starter.

The guy who comes immediately to mind is Paul George. Whoever it is, there has to be a move to improve the team with a reliable number 2.

All season it's been obvious we need a good guard to pair with Curry who has the ability to score, especially from 3. Podz is a great off the bench utility player, but he's not utilizing the gravity of Steph at all. There's not 1 single shooter being paired with Curry in the starting lineup. None! And we know Klay has to be a bench player at this point. Curry needs a backcourt buddy who can fulfill the role Klay used to, maybe even moreso with his current age/mild decline.

This is why I begged for us to get into the Jrue sweepstakes and move CP3 + big assets to get him for one final reload. Dude is shooting 44.5% from 3 with lockdown defense, just the guy we're missing. Next we had a chance at Dejounte Murray, and we stood pat. I don't know if guys this quality will be gettable next year but we need to do something at the guard position.

Jk is the no.2. He gets alot of plays run for him and the usg to match. He doesn't have the utility to be a 3rd or 4th option because he doesn't provide much outside of scoring. People crap on dray and wiggins this game (as they should), but they do do other things like rebound and defend. And they get 4th and 5th option touches. They need to be better, but they aren't carrying an offense on limited possessions.

Podz is the tricky one. He's not a scorer, not a defender, a shooter, and not really a playmaker. But he takes up alot of possessions by ball pounding. I'm not sure what his role is with the starters other than kerr loves him.

Steph is the shooter, scorer and first option.
Jk is the scorer and 2nd option.
Podz thinks he's the 3rd option.
Wiggs is the 4th option and poa defender.
Dray is the 5th option and defensive anchor.

Defensively, they are a mess with only 2 defenders.
Offensively, they are a mess with only 1 shooter.

Adding moody helps because he's a better fit, gp2 as well.

Steph, moody, wiggs, jk, and dray. It gives us our best balance of defense, offense, rebounding, and size.

Adding tjd works, but can u play him, jk, and dray together? I'd try it though.

Steph, jk, wiggs, dray, and tjd. Jk wood essentially have to be a sg on defense because he's our worst rebounder and help defender. Spacing would be a real problem.

I think this is what happens to Podz when he goes up against guys like Brunson and Hart: players who have all of Podz competive fire, but are stronger or taller or more skilled or all three. Podz has a spot in the league but he will need an elite skill if he wants to be more than a bench guy on a good playoff squad.

Jeez, that was a rough watch. Does anyone on this team even care? TJD was the only guy who really brought any intensity tonight, Klay played OK but didn't hit most of his shots, I guess Podz was intense but a mess, everyone else was just going through the motions. Even when they cut the lead several times, I never felt like they had a chance to win.
