His contract being partially non-guaranteed could be huge in a follow up trade and much preferred for teams over Poole’s

Nearly all of it has to guaranteed to make this deal

Next year is partially guaranteed as well. Basically expiring vs 4 yr contract

No it is not, it is fully unguaranteed

Who comes off the bench next year if everyone else is back? CP3 or Klay?

Definitely CP3. If we keep him he's almost certainly playing 20-25 mpg next year. Maybe more like 15-20.

Melo and amare should thrive in this offense. If Jeremy Tyler and cole Aldridge looked that good in summer league then us knick fans have a lot to be excited about. Make room for all the bandwagoners when we take off

I'm gonna be sniffing some good copium for a bit but this move allows the Warriors to compete and it's low risk. They got rid of a guy that basically was just not going to work for this team going forward.

The only fear I have is if this affects Wiggins in any way. He and Poole were good friends. But I get the feeling Wiggins is the type of guy to keep his head down and just continue being a professional especially since he does like the other guys on the team.

Paul solidifies the second unit instantly and essentially load manages so he can make it through the playoffs

i called this **** a long time ago, how I am able to see this but the FO isn't is mind bending.

but hey, at least we're off a bad contract and Cp3's an expiring.

Tbh I still have no idea why he was extended, when they could wait for him becoming a RFA. Probably it was all Draymond's fault. No puch, no extension I guess.

I just feel like this trade raises our floor, but not our ceiling. CP3 doesn't have enough left in the tank to make that much of a difference.

I don't think they'd have traded Poole if not for The Punch.

Draymond and Poole can't co-exist on the same team so they're hoping the team is more together than last season now. Probably no longer have to walk on pins and needles.

So they chose to try to re-sign Green, even though he caused this whole problem.

Warriors can't count on Paul at all for the playoffs. If he plays in enough games to have some impact, that's bonus.

All they can hope is he makes the second unit productive so that they can load manage Steph and Draymond to an extent.

But guessing this is a one-year experiment at most?

So after this upcoming season, they're going to need more scoring from another guard.

Maybe a one-year shot at a title, that's it.

Doubt this move gets made if the plan wasn't to bring Draymond back.

curry - tray - paul playing around 28 - 32 a night

with wiggins/green/looney doing the dirty work down low.

curry - paul - tray - wiggins - green is a filthy good small ball lineup.

mortgage the future, fix the bench, go get that ring guys.

amazing trade. your management is bloody brilliant. good luck guys.

health pending your already next years favorite in my books.

I dont think CP3's gonna get that kinda run here.. this move was done solely for rings, so I'd wager he's in the 20-25mpg range

This.

Imagine if they moved Poole and they weren't somehow sure Draymond was re-signing.

I'm not saying it couldn't still happen, but a mob might chase Dunleavy out of Chase.

Well, what was said by "sources" right after the Lakers series ended is going to end up true (Dray wanting back, team looking to move Poole/JK). That was no slip, the plans were right there for anyone to see. I would expect the Warriors to move Kuminga next.

yup. youre management and core dont care about stats or records. just get to the payoffs healthy.

if healthy, that small ball lineup torches every team in the league.

hence its mortgage the future time. go get solid two way vets that can eat up minutes in the regular season. like non washed versions of delon wright and the morris brothers.

anyways, its going to be fun watching that small ball lineup close out quarters and games.

Good riddance to Jordan Poole. This helps on the court and with the finances - win-win.

The protections on that first rounder I assume are very strong.

Steph Curry is happy!

The Draymond-Poole beef is behind us!

I love that they were able to get rid of Jordan Poole. I didn't see many teams willing to take on his 30% shooting. Of course JP is a huge gamble for any team at this point, he may surprise, or he may suck. Good riddance to his selfish play.

What I hate is that they brought on another undersized and old point guard. With Draymond gone and Klay looking more unreliable than ever, surely those 2 spots should have been the priority? I think they should've tried harder to trade for a shooting guard that can relieve Klay of more of his minutes.
