Trade ID #4418028
MP and Al for Gasol
I don't know if I'd do this, but if you add Ellis and Wright to Memphis and take back Navarro and Warrick, I think Memphis would begin to think about it.
Edit - instead of Ellis maybe Belinelli and a pick, as I don't think Ellis would fit with Conley well.

I would hate to see Wright go, I think he is going to be a great player. If they are going to trade him, we sure as hell better get a post player in return. Really, Wright is the only player besides Ellis and Biedrins I wouldn't want to see traded.
The real question should be, who is out there that makes us better on the inside that doesn't gut us of all our young guys? Plus, how do we trade players like Belinelli, POB and Wright without ever really giving them a good look in game situations?

If the Warriors did a trade like this, then I would rather put Belinelli in and take Pietrus out. As bad as he is, he is a little more versatile and its obvious that we would be playing to win now. That would be an interesting we would have. If only Nellie were smart enough to play Biedrins and Gasol at the same time.

That would definitely be the downside to any Gasol trade. I think that Nellie would give about 32 minutes each to Gasol, Biedrins and Ellis, and never more than two of them on the floor at a time, so that he could always have three 3-point shooters on the floor, so they would only play about 16 minutes a game together. Of course, it's not like it's any different now, and I think that Wright's inability to shoot a 3 is part of what keeps him off the floor.

for Gasol?
Well, Wright better be ready to play big minutes right now with this trade. Otherwise, that would leave us with Croshere, Barnes, and I'm cringing just thinking about it to play the 4 and back-up 5 for about 60 minutes a night. Nellie might drool, but I'd personally find him and take him out.

If we somehow traded Al and got back Gasol in a package, I predict a Baron/Jax freezout in 2 games.
The chemistry would be gone instantly. All the good vibes the team has for each other goes out the window with Pau.
Not to mention this trade won't happen. Memphis thinks they can get way more than Harrington and Wright.
I don't do this one and neither do the current Warrior brass.
Gasol's over-rated. He's in the McGrady catagory of looks good during the season but gets outplayed by Matt Barnes when it counts.

I'm predicting Mike Miller. Nellie wants to keeps his core because of chemistry (Baron, Jackson, Harrington, Beindrins, Ellis) but needs a gunner off the bench. Barnes, Azubike etc. can be role players, but not your 6th man that you count on every night. As many 3's as this team is going to take, he is going to want the best shooter he can find. Mike Miller also rebounds his position well and can pass the ball, two other trait that Nellie likes. Gasol is two expensive (both $'s and player you would have to give up). Other bigs would not play in Nellie rotation anyway. I think the Warriors can get Miller by taking on one unfavorable contract and giving up Pietrus, O'Bryant and likely Bellini.
