I’m glad they are using them in Santa Cruz. I want the expectation to be that rookies spend time in the G League, whether they like it or not. Once you have done that for a few years, nobody complains anymore.
This movie is like the Rocky Horror Picture Show where everyone knows all the lines.

Best thing about the game…no Jerome Robinson.

He still seems like an odd choice for that 2-way slot.

I was right about 3 point shooting. I expect to be right about Tacko Fall. Some coach will figure out how to use Tacko Fall. This movement towards undersized centers will sweep ng back. Back to the basket scorers will return to the NBA.

Shocked that the guy on a multi-year cost controlled contract who's performed well is ahead of the 1 year, 2-way signing who's been on the roster slightly over a month

Rotation is already 10 deep

Klay plays too much. He's Miami Heat Ray Allen at this point, he should be around 25 minutes. CP3 should be around 20-25 too. That gives Podz 10 minutes right there. The regular season doesn't matter anymore, might as well get him some run and rest the vets throughout the season.

Wasn’t true last year lol

Podz hasn’t actually “performed well” according to the metrics btw.

Have any of the rookies drafted 20th or later flashed?

Well Strawther had at least one big game for the Nuggets and they were crowing.

Whitmore had big summer league games but I don't think he's in the Rockets regular rotation.

Sasser has been by far the best rookie after our pick. Trayce probably after him, then Strawther.

Feeling good about my big board at the time of pick being: Podz, Sasser, Phillips, Trayce. Still love Phillips even though he hasn't played yet.

From Kerr after the game: “He’s going to play every night. He’s earned that.”

He's said that about literally everyone on this team at one point or another. Means nothing.

No, he means it this time. It will be the next excuse for cutting Moody’s minutes.

Well the FO basically **** up again because they went into the season with rotation guys that Kerr clearly didn’t trust. Instead of trading Kuminga and Moody for “Kerr guys” they decided to wing it and hope for the best. Now Kerr is destroying those assets and they’ll get nothing for them. It’s really hard to understand how they let that happen two years in a row. The same damn mistake.

Lol at “Kerr destroying assets”.

Poole and Wiseman are so much better now that they have got away from Kerr.

also it was about Garuba :dontknow:

wouldn't expect Podz to be a positive impact player out of the gate, but the talent is undeniable and he needs to find a way on the court

He's right about that. If they were that great, they would have excelled outside of the organization. JP showing himself to be the airhead scoring zero that he is and Wiseman is still one of the biggest fumbles in NBA draft history (when you consider they had a top 10 all time in his prime during the draft). We need to see more from Podz. I know he was fantastic last game but there were a lot of emotions and it's a one game sample. Just how it's not good to look at Podz during those preseason games where he looked like a complete bust with Draymond-level shooting. You can't put too much stock on Podz for now though, he's played too little game time to know what to expect for the rest of the season.

Also Kerr is not going to give a huge chance to Podz because he's completely invested emotionally on the guy he's coached for 9 years, who sucks now, while making 42 million a year and looking for long term well paid contract for the next 3 years.
