Lose this game and we can pack in the rest of the regular season as 10th is assured. Win and we can give us the chance to move to 8th. Huge game tonight.

I just care about who we play. I know there is a post out there showing all the outcomes and matchups if Warriors win/lose next few games. At the end of the day we have to play the Lakers, Kings or Pelicans.
Who do we want to play?

I don't think we have the ability to choose who we play. But a loss tonight essentially gives us the 10th seed.

I dont really think its a matter of who we play as much as how many of them we play. If we are a 9/10 and get our "preferred" matchup, we still need to play one of the less preferred matchups in the next play-in game. And I dont see a huge difference in our teams ability to beat any of those teams... but I do have concerns on having a bad shooting game in a must win game against any of them. So getting 2 shots at it from the 8 seed is all that matters in terms of the preferred scenario.
But if we lose tonight I'd expect some rest games leading into the play-in.

Absolutely right, that's all that matters. Having to win two games to get in, or having two chances to win one game.

The free throw disparity tonight should be off the charts.

I wish there was a way to bet on how big the disparity will be. I'm guessing 20+

it's weird we all know it in advance and just have to accept it as a given.

Lakers get fouled a lot and don't rely on the three-point shot. Warriors foul a lot and shoot a lot of threes. Of course there will be a free throw disparity.

One that fluctuates between +0 and +20 depending on whether it is a home or away game. Of course.

Lakers drive to the rim 39.6 times per game, warriors are 38.8. They are 4th and 2nd from the bottom, respectively. GSW averages 422.2 paint touches (3rd most), Lakers 387.2 (5th least). Lakers average 7.8 post ups (3rd most), GSW average 6.7 (7th most). The only real discrepancy is 3 point attempts, we average 7 more per game than the lakers.
I'm sorry but that free throw discrepancy does not make sense

If you've ever watched AD or LeBron play, it makes some amount of sense. I do think the discrepancy is excessive; we've all watched Curry get knocked around all year and not get calls. But the Lakers absolutely should end up getting more foul calls than us.

I'm not confident against the Kings. Think it's a 50/50 toss up. They play fast and have a number of guys who can score: Fox, Sabonis, Murray. Ellis & Lyles can get buckets if needed as well as Barnes. Defense is solid too.
Right now Fox has 5 threes and Keon Ellis has 6! Ellis doing his best Monk impression.
