We are 1.5 out of the wild card and 3 out of the division. I am excited at this point.

I never see you say anything positive, all you do is bitch and moan about everything; and even when presented with some that really has no negatives to it, you redirect your attention to something else you can bitch and moan about.

You should try that more often then. There's a time for being self-loathing, and a time to support your team.

Less self-loathing, more fan support.

Otherwise, the term "buzzkill" comes to mind.

Nice to have D-Lee back. Unless we add some players, I think this might be the playoff lineup actually.

Mark DeRosa has been amazing this year.. Looking at his numbers he's been so unappreciated on this board.

.365 OBP

And I still believe his first inning grand slam against Atlanta was part of the big turnaround. That was the start of the turnaround IMO.

No doubt. He's been way better than we could've hoped offensively, and has filled in defensively at so many positions. At the time, the signing wasn't that important. But he's easily been one of the most important players this year.

Great first inning?

Pathetic.. How many pitches did that scrub throw? Jesus christ.

First pitch hacking on one of the worst starting pitchers in baseball. Terrible. Just terrible.

anyone miss the old days earlier this year when the cards fans bragged about how dave duncan is the greatest pitching coach and how he could turn any pitcher into CY Young material? like those 12 losses for kip wells and has anthony reyes gotten a win yet?

The Cards could really use a nice young pitcher to take over as their ace. Hey, they should trade for Dan Haren!

Carlos Zambrano = *stud*
Cubs = *scrubs*

if we let go of zambrano this offseason we'll be the laughing stock of the mlb for life... but hey im use to that so it's ok.
