Game 3: Giants at Carolina

This one is big. The Thursday Night game, at Charlotte. Both teams coming off emotional wins. I like our chances to move to 2-1 with a win Thursday night.

I like our chances too. I'll be glued to this game.

I'm a Cam nuthanger and one of the friends I'll be seeing it with is an Eli nuthanger, btw.

Eli has proven to be a very good QB. Heck, he has 2 SB rings. But he can go hot and cold. Hopefully the fact that their RB got banged up last game will play to our benefit. If we can put pressure on Eli with our front 4, and blitz at the right times, if they dont have a running game, could be the Giants downfall. That, and we need to have our running game going like it was against the Saints. Will allow Cam to do his thing. If the Giants kill our running game like the Bucs did, we are in trouble.

Fixed that for you. ;)

Really hoping the running game'll get going too.

We need our DB's to play the best game in their career. I think that Gamble can cover Nicks, but Who the hell is going to cover Cruz?

Josh Norman, the Rookie. I dont know which one I would put Gamble on and which I put on Nicks. They are both dangerous. We have to get pressure on Eli quickly and not give him time in the pocket. If he gets time, someone will get open, and he will hit them. Pressure, pressure, pressure!

Job is not easy, but did get easier today. Nicks is out, Bradshaw is out, Diehl is out and Hixon is out. That means they are without #1 WR, #1 RB, #1 OT and a backup WR. Panthers better take advantage of the shortage and win this one tomorrow.

And another TD on an opening drive. This defense blows.

Our Defense is stinking it up tonight and the Giant's Defense is playing great. Not good. But trying to make something happen late in the half.

And that's what happens when you completely abandon the running game.

Dominated by the Giants. They came into our house and kicked our teeth down our throats.

Some major issues on this team. For starters we cant generate any sort of pass rush, Eli was touched maybe two or three times all game yesterday. Also that read option is really limiting DeAngelo Williams and that run game imo. I understand that it's Cam's team now, but they have to understand that DeAngelo was a top tier back prior to his arrival. Lastly, we need some better special teams play. The fumbled return, and muffed kick were tough to watch last night.

It's a long season though, these next 4-5 games will give a good understanding of exactly where this team stands.
