The Bears do in fact have ample talent around Mitch right now

My sarcastic point exactly. The talent around Mahomes is not an excuse for Mitch. The best way to defend Mitch V Mahomes is that Mahomes plays in a more developed offense. That's a fair point. But actually, the biggest problem with Mitch has been Mitch.

and let's give him more than one game before we declare him a bust under this system. Look at Blake Bortles today.

A bust or not is not the standard Pace has to meet with this trade. If another team got a franchise quarterback lower than the Bears pick, that is what Trubisky must be to justify giving up so much.

Esp when you consider Pace could have traded down and gotten Mahomes. We'd be calling him a genius right now.

I still think the biggest blunder is Pace trading up to get Mitch.

Mahomes wasn't even on anyone's radar here in Chicago, so while I can acknowledge that he looks to be the much better player right now, cant really fault Pace for going with Trubisky just yet. Again, it's giving up that extra 3rd to get him when they could have just drafted Mitch at 3.

I know we drafted Cohen later in the draft, but if Pace kept that 3rd rounder he could have gotten Alvin Kamara.

Mitch with a nasty SHIMMY to pick up that first down.

Offense looks GREAT in the first round again. I saw how they were playing Mack a little less in the first drive. Let him be 100% in the second half and take over!

I'm sorry but I don't see what Ryan Pace was enamored about with Trubisky. He is just not accurate at all. Not calling him a bust yet, but it doesn't look good.

You know how he can't pull the trigger sometimes? because he's inaccurate and he knows it.

Another pick.

I swear, the Chicago Bears will never have an elite quarterback.

Mack is the most dynamic playmaker I've ever seen on a Bears defense.

We're about to learn a lot about what Trubisky is made of on this drive.

Watching him play is an absolute treat. Just a total package of a player.

I really hope you're right.

But I'm not sure what's worse: his pocket awareness or his accuracy.

He's got a special playmaking ability. Nagy will tame him and help him understand what he needs to do. That's what Nagy does.

Let Howard take this game over. Then play action to get Mitch rolling.
