This list has gotten a lot of play on local sports talk radio lately (sports talk loves lists). This is my first time seeing the whole thing. I've been following the team closely since the early '60s. I'm familiar with almost all of the names, but only actually saw about 2/3 of them play. Here's the list and my comments are below:

* Hall of Famers

My #1 negative take is that Dan Hampton (11) was once again underrated. It took him too long to make the HOF and #11 on this list is at least 5 slots too low. I saw both Doug Atkins (9) and Bill George (7) play and they were both great, but Hampton was better (BTW, Atkins was better than George IMO). Ditka as #6 has to take into account his coaching though I thought the authors said they only took playing into account).

Urlacher (14) was a significantly better player than Dent (12) and way better than Singletary (15).

Lastly (at least for now), I think it's nice that the authors wanted to recognize Mack (60) and Jackson (96) from last year's team, but "all time greats?" Oh yeah, and Alshon Jeffery's inclusion on this list almost made me vomit.
Until the actual truth is more important to you than what you believe, you will never recognize the truth.

Urlacher should be higher.

Alex Brown deserves some love as well. Glad to see MIke Brown on here. He was injured so much but his peak was so great that it's hard not to agree with.

As much as I don't like Alshon he is 3rd all time in receiving yards and has 2 of the Bears' top 10 seasons. And its a long list for just one franchise. You're gonna have a bunch of guys not really looked at as "great".

I also think Thomas Jones deserves a spot. 6th all time in rushing yards for us, only played 3 seasons. Was the focal point in our offense for two years where we made the playoffs. Lack of seasons isn't a reason to keep him off as we see Mack and Jackson already on the list.

Ditka should be neither a 6 as a player or a coach imho. As a coach he owed so much to Buddy Ryan. Where he is on that list he is being listed as a greater tight end than he was. He is no doubt a NFL icon
