Looks Like Timlin is Back On Track

Post#1 » by Boston's Future » Sun Jul 22, 2007 9:05 pm

He hasn't given up a run in like 13 1/3 inninngs. His era is below 3.50. He's been pitching well of late, and eating up inninnngs too. If he and Delcarmen can continue to step it up, the Sox might not need another piece in the pen, and can instead go get another bat. Don't forget about Donnely either, once he gets off the DL the pen will be evern deeper.

I don't get all the pissing and moaning about the bullpen. I have a lot of confidence in it right now with the way that Timlin and Delcarmen are throwing the ball. Are they going to be this lights out? No, but they can still be above average and productive. If they don't get overworked, this entire pitching staff could be very effective. mahalo

IMO, we have the best bullpen in baseball. It's a bat that we need.

This thread is bad mojo. Quick, somebody say Timlin's old and sucky.

It doesn't even need to be said, but I'll say it. Timlin is old and sucky.

But maybe he can continue his magic act for another couple months. Relief pitchers are more luck than anything else it seems.

Absolutely agree. Lets move on to find a bat and call it a day.
