Browns sign OG Rex Hadnot

Another interesting signing who should be a solid starter at Right Guard.

I like how Savage has been upgrading the defensive and now the offensive line. Heck, the Browns are even getting some love from ESPN writers who in the past have rarely mentioned the Browns in anything other than a negative light.

Browns Sign OL Hadnot

As a guard and center, Hadnot offers the Browns versatility and experience to supplement a strong starting group. He may have the opportunity to compete for the starting right guard job, currently held by Ryan Tucker. The player who shared the starting RG job in 2007, Seth McKinney, is coming off of injury and is a unrestricted free agent.

The Cleveland Browns have signed OL Rex Hadnot to a two-year contract, the club announced today.

Hadnot, 6-2 and 325 lbs., is a versatile offensive lineman who has played in 63 games, including 55 starts, during his four-year career with the Miami Dolphins. During his career, Hadnot has started 34 games at right guard, 19 games at center and two games at left guard.

They also re-signed Lennie Friedman to a 1 year deal. Likely to backup at guard and center again.

...doesn't bode well for Isaac Sowells, lol. Great signing. It should be interesting to see who emerges the starter at RG between Tucker and Hadnot. Should also be interesting to see how LeCharles Bentley returns and weather or not he makes it back on the roster. Shaun Smith (DE) was quoted saying that LCB was around 85% last season when the team put him on the PUP. There may be a bit of bad blood because of the way he handled his rehab, but I'm hopeful that he comes back to the Browns strong....
