I expected a bit more effort to be put into this thread.

HOWEVER.

We win both games by a combined score of 12-7.
We watched the tragedy unfold. We did as we were told, we bought and sold. It was the greatest show on Earth...but then it was over.

I'm also looking forward to seeing how well Sampson does against the Reds lineup, on the road in their park.

I expect us to score some runs because Harang isn't that good and I refuse to believe he can shut us down!

I also predict this 2 game series will be the breakout party for Fat Elvis, so in honor of that, I am breaking out the twinkies!:

I didn't take you too seriously. I knew you were joking. I wasn't trying to come across bitchy. Maybe I should have used an emoticon so you could tell. Really though, feel free to make a game thread whenever you want if you don't see one up yet.

Everyone wants twinkies!

Except me, I think they're terrible, but still!

I didn't comment on the Twinkies because I'm a little torn. I mean come on, one box of Twinkies!? That would definitely motivate guys like Lee and Berkman but at what price to the clubhouse? I could definitely see those two guys actually getting into it over that box of Twinkies and this can cause a rift and end up dividing the clubhouse. Lee supporters who think he should get the Twinkies because he has been carrying the load offensively on one side and Berkman supporters on the other who feel that he has tenure as a Houston Astro and thus is more deserving.

OK LET'S GET THIS SHOW ON THE ROAD:

Your Houston Astros projected lineup!

C. Biggio
M. Lamb
L. Berkman
C. Lee
L. Scott
J. Lane
A. Everett
B. Ausmus
C. Sampson

The Reds projected lineup that is going to get destroyed!

R. Freel
J. Hamilton
A. Dunn
K. Griffey Jr.
B. Phillips
S. Hatteberg
A. Gonzalez
D. Ross
A. Harang

Chris Sampson brings his mighty 0.00 ERA(1 start yes I know) into the game against Aaron Harang(silly name) and his 5.40 ERA which will soon be in double digits because Fat Elvis and Lee and the rest of the Disastros shall pummel him with their mighty twinkie filled bats.

GO ASTROS.

I sure hope so!

I just want to see Fatty break out with a big 2 games, he usually dominates the Reds especially in their own park.

I missed the last part of the game but Sampson looked pretty good, gave up a couple solo HR's but still a pretty solid 7 IP IMO.

I guess I was wrong about Fat Elvis breaking out but maybe tomorrow!

Good win, let's make it 4 in a row!

Yeah Sampson has looked great and solid for the first 2 games, lets see if he can keep it up, if soo Garner should look to move him to at least the number 3 pitching spot, in front of at least Wandy, and Woody.

So maybe Woody can give us 6 strong innings tonight, sound like a good idea? I think so too.

And once again, I predict Fat Twinkie to break out and have a big game!

GO ASTROS!
