Home Opener vs Rockies series thread

Post#1 » by Minhee » Mon Apr 9, 2007 9:37 pm

I didn't even know it was a noon game. They are heading to the bottom of the 4th inning right now trailing 3-1. Jason Schdmit hit a solo shot for our only run so far. Lets go Blue Crew!

Kemp goes down!! He separated his shoulder by trying to make a catch. Schdmit had some trouble with his leg, he might be heading to the DL. It's now 5 openers in a row that we've loss. Hate to see two of our key guys go down. Time to call up James Loney!

Right fielder Matt Kemp came out in the fourth with a sore right shoulder after banging into the auxiliary scoreboard trying to catch Baker's triple. X-rays on Kemp's shoulder were negative, and he said he doesn't believe he'll be out for more than a couple days.

"At first I thought it was worse than what it was," Kemp said. "It hurt really bad when I was walking off the field. I thought I was done. But everything will be all right."

"It's OK. It's definitely not a hamstring pull," he said. "I just got dehydrated out there and got a little cramp in it."

Damn those guys at FSN. They said they took Kemp to the hospital and said he separated his shoulder.

I don't think they said that he had for sure separated it, I think they said that the play has a separated shoulder written all over it, and they were taking him to the hospital for X-rays. Then they interviewed Kemp, and he said he was going to be fine.

Tomko did well tonight. Clutch Sac Fly by Martin and way to go Betemit to have great plate patience tonight.

This is the Kemp Link. I don't know how to do the fancy "Link" thing. Ty, teach me.

Also, that Wilson Valdez is doing well for Furcal. Furcal should come back by Friday.

way to even the series. The dodgers may not have overwhelming offense, but they have everything else.

damn that hirsh guy stinks. and what's worse is that I had dinner during the inning where the doyers scored all 3 runs. man. bad luck. oh, and how about broxton pitching 1.2 innings of relief, but not a lot of K's in those innings. Also, saito's calmed down.

no game tonight.

Hey Ty, Mr Mod man..

I have a suggestion.. Maybe we can have a sticky running game thread for each series and just have the title changed for each game.

I know it might be some work.. but might be easier in the long run.

Just a suggestion..... * looks around for a suggestion box*
Cheers. — Mags
