The Broncos signed two outside linebackers today, adding Warrick Holdman and D.D. Lewis to the roster.

Holdman, a nine-year veteran, had 69 tackles for Washington last season, playing in all 16 games.

Holdman played his first five seasons with the Chicago Bears before playing in 2004 with the Cleveland Browns and the past two seasons with the Redskins.

Lewis played five games with the Seattle Seahawks last season. The five-year veteran's career has been marred by injuries.

Both players could vie for an outside starting spot for Denver while linebacker D.J. Williams moves to the inside.

A domino effect started with the Broncos' official release of former defensive captain AL Wilson on Tuesday.

The additions today could be an indication that Denver is focused on adding a defensive lineman with its first pick in this weekend's draft. Denver is scheduled to pick No. 21 in the first round Saturday.

I'd assume they're mostly for ST, but they add depth to our LB corps.
