I also heard a rumor that we're trying to trade up to #3 with the Raiders....

Markus Wheaton is a smaller deep threat receiver, and he would be a great complement to Johnson, but Wheaton is probably a second-day pick. Other good second day fits for Detroit include West Virginia's Stedman Bailey, Texas A&M's Ryan Swope and Tennessee Tech's Da'Rick Rogers. They all have some speed and toughness.

1 - OT Lane Johnson
2 - DE Hunt or Moore
3 - CB Mathieu or Amerson
4 - WR Rogers
5 - TE Sims

I don't think our locker room is strong enough to get the Honey Badger. I also don't see us taking a chance on a dude with a shakey past, we need to stay out of the headlines.

Shame too, cause he is lightning in a bottle. Yeah he gets beat on occasion, but the dude is a straight up play maker, I think in the right org he could shine, but I don't think we are that org.

I do like the idea of Sims though, liked him and his size when we was playing in the B1G

Agree for the most part. I worry that we fell in love with a workout warrior and not the best football player, or DE prospect in general.

But he's a Lion now, so I hope he prove me wrong.

Also hurts that Minnesota killed it tonight. :x

i believe its because he doesn't have quite as much upside as well as combine performance threw him out. Its amazing how far players drop and how wrong analyst are. WHO HAD EJ MANUEL as first QB off the board?

Anyone else hear the news that the Jets are possibly planning to use William Campbell as an OFFENSIVE lineman, as opposed to a DT?

Lolz it's the Jets, so anything is possible. They could be in line for a top-3 pick next year...they suck

Rams really screwed them by moving up and grabbing Austin. they really needed a playmaker on the offensive side of the ball

He was told by several teams during Shrine Game week that if he stuck at DT he wouldn't get drafted but had a better shot moving to guard. Michigan flopped him back and forth several times but needed the depth at DT more than a guard. It's an interesting move, hope it works out for him.

I wasn't sure if their plan has changed since signing OG Peterman.
