Wish the Lions would cut Pettigrew

Post#1 » by OldNavy » Mon May 20, 2013 11:18 pm

Pettigrew is not a great blocker, he is slow and he had a CB take the ball from him twice last year. He never breaks tackles like most tight ends and he drops to many balls. Just cut him and use the money for a DT or LB.

Remember when we drafted him, blocking was supposed to be his strength?

I highly doubt we cut him, however.

Pettigrew only averaged 40 yds per game and only 3 touchdowns for the year. His 4 turnovers with a CB taking the ball from him twice and with a bigger faster TE with great hands available to replace him to me it is a no brainer to save the money and cut him or trade him for a DT or a LB.

His drops annoy me, but you just don't cut him

Too young to straight up cut, a trade sure, but to cut him is a waste as he has value.

If we could flip him for a DE, LB, WR, or picks I'd be all for it.

I think Pettigrew is garbage compared to the TE's we have now. I would trade him in a second for a backup DT, LB or DE.
