I was really hoping for Patterson to somehow fall to us in the 2nd round...oh well.

2nd rounders:
S Cyprien?
CB Banks?
CB Taylor?
OT Armstead?
OLB Arthur Brown?

3rd rounders:
CB Amerson?
TE Kelce?
WR Da'Rick Rogers?
CB Breh-Wilson?
S Wilcox?
CB Mathieu?

I just went and looked how the draft played out and the guards and safety I wanted were all off the board by 15, I guess trading back and still being in position to get one of those guys probably wouldnt have brought back a 2nd rd pick in this draft after all. considering the 3rd pick to 13th was only worth a 2nd.

I like Barret Jones OG/C Alabama in the 3rd round and Margus Hunt in the 2nd round. With Hunt and Ziggy this team really would have a great line.

I like Banks or Taylor as a DB in the second round with Barrett Jones as a OG in the third round.

Im not sure Ziggy is the starter this season. I could easily see the Lions sign a vet like Freeney on the cheap. Another Riley Rieff who gives the Lions nothing. I see this team 6-10 this season. I'll say worse if they go WR for a third year in a row in round two.

Fills the biggest need and the Lions can get a guard and rush DE in the second and third rounds.

Wow I was massively wrong. I didn't think the Lions would take Ziggy at 5. Thought they'd try to go back to 9 to take him. Probably didn't feel just picking up a third was value enough to move back. I'd a done it personally. This draft doesn't have alot of skill talent but it's really deep on both sides of the line.

Yeah, I was hoping we've hold off on DE until the 2nd round (Hunt or Moore) and possibly 4th round (Gholston). Is Ansah at #5 that much better than Gholston?

Ansah never knew what a wide 9 defense was until the senior bowl and then ended up dominating the game.

Go back and watch the Senior Bowl tape. He only made plays when he went up against OT Wagner (a 5th round projection guy), OT Quessenberry (a 4th round projection guy), or a TE one-on-one.

He did nothing against the better North team's OTs.

WR is really deep...

I like Arthur Brown or Larry Warford for our 2nd pick. S isn't a huge need but would not be shocked to see them grab a guy like Cyprien.

Much as I like Hunt DE the Lions need a LT and I would draft Armstead LT from Arkansas Pine Bluff who is strong and was the fastest OT. Watson OT would be my second choice. I like Barret Jones OG/C in the 2nd if Watson and Armstead are gone. If only we had traded down in the first round, lots of experience talent at OL and DE.
I expect the Lions will draft Hunter WR at 36.

Gross.

Woods from USC or Armstead are the acceptable picks

I don't think we're going tackle now. I think they view Reiff as our LT and Fox as our RT. They'll probably add a guard at some point today.

Best bet is on Justin hunter being the pick at 36 and guard in 3rd. I think Hunter fits what they want.

Someone who can't catch? He would fit right in with Pettigrew...

Field stretcher. Justin Hunter fits that.

I would rather the Lions take a TE in the 2nd round over a WR. Stanford's TE is still available. Both of our TE's are free agents next year. Armstead or Hunt would be my choices. I want Armstead because I don't respect the Lions offensive line.

I like the idea of Cyprien (long-term starter next to Quin) in the 2nd round.

OG/C Barrett Jones in the 3rd
WR Da'Rick Rogers in the 4th
