Nice looking thread!

We should absolutely blow them out of the water. Offense will put up probably 35+ and Bradford doesn't scare me still. Our D-line should cause fits at times. I feel real good about this game and an exciting start to the year

We should win by three scores. Sam "Check Down" Bradford doesn't scare me, SJAX will get his, but that about sums up the offense.

Their defense should be improved, but CJ is a force of nature, and will abuse them.

Delmas and Houston both missing practice on Thursday, which means they're out for Sunday. Best two players in the secondary out, not good even against Sam Bradford throwing to Danny Amendola behind a line that makes Jeff Backus seem like Orlando Pace.

Looking forward to seeing Calvin Johnson vs. Janoris Jenkins or Cortland Finnegan. Good test for Titus Young to see if he can beat decent press man coverage from those two because he'll likely get isolated with the Rams rolling help to Megatron.

ICE , how is our secondary looking with Bentley,Florence and Barnes?

Bentley looked good in preseason, but its preseason and he also had a couple miscue's, whats your opinion on the kid.

Can you elaborate on Schwartz plans for Florence and Barnes

Florence is similar to Eric Wright, good fit here. Decent in coverage close to the line, good tackler, good vs. the run. Wright is a little better but Florence is more consistent in coverage. When Houston is healthy he'll do okay across from him, very overmatched as a #1 though. Fortunately STL has weak WRs.

Barnes is a big guy that gets his hands on a lot of balls. Last year he saw 34 passes thrown his way. He picked off two and broke up 7 others, that's a great ratio. Unfortunately he gets a lot of those by guessing on the route so he does get beat. Unreliable but willing tackler. He'll be the #2 slot corner after Bentley, who sure looks like he is going to be a major upgrade as the top inside corner. He is going to bite and miss with some rookie mistakes, that's a given, but he'll be better than some corners taken two rounds ahead of him.

Thank you ICE, appreciate the assessment and calming my nerves a bit. hopefully our pash rush can get to the quaterback or pressure him into errors. i really think moving Suh around is going to help improve getting to the quarterback, hopefully Fairley can avoid suspension and get into game shape

If the Lions don't get at least 4 sacks and 10 hits on Bradford it's going to be a very long year. This is the worst OL they'll face all year outside of maybe Chicago, and STL doesn't have close to the receivers the Bears do. If the D can't win this game in its own right, it's going to be a very long and disappointing season. I think the Lions will win but I'm really hoping it's 24-10 and not 37-35.

My expectations are for us to go out and dominate a rebuilding team, establish that we are on that tier. Don't know if i feel comfortable predicting the lions season on one game, but i would reinforce my belief that we are in the mix's of Giants,Patiots,Packers etc

Things i look forward to see:
-i would hope our front 4 are talented enough to get to the QB while facing a weak O-line.
-i think Suh needs to make a statement this game. Come right out the bat and establish himself.
-Running game, every and anything. Can kevin smith remain healthy
-Will special teams do anything other than give up touchdowns
- What does our secondary look like.
- What's broyles going to do. He seems to know how to find gaps and get open, i'm really excited to see him and break loose

*Saw a rumor we were interested in Knowshon Moreno, i fully expect that if the running game doesn't show us its any better from last year, that we will see a signing not far after. i would hope he's in the mix.

The Rams also might be thin at DL. They have 10 DLs on the roster and only 3 guys on their injury report, all of whom are DTs. They also have DT Trevor Laws already on IR. So if those 3 guys can't play then they will only have 7 DLs active for the game, for a combined total of 25 NFL years of experience. They better hope not to have any injuries on the line or it could be a long day.

Stafford had an awful first half. 3 picks and really locking on to his target. I'm betting he comes back strong in the second, because this thing shouldn't be so close

Watching these lions is making me sick. Stafford looks like he's regressed.

i was really hoping Stafford would make the leap aaron rodgers did 2 years after farve. while his receivers are dropping passes, stafford also is throwing all over the place. really depressing

I think he's just having an off game. Still optimistic about Stafford as our QB.

i'm optimistic about stafford in that he has the ability to make that elite leap, i just thought it was going to be this year. i know its premature especially since the season's young, and maybe the fact that i have high expectations shows we are a better team. idk overall. i just want this win
