We're gonna need Gary to actually show up

Winnable but I think the line is gonna have to live in their backfield and make Purdy's life hell. They've got the talent to do it and they've done it vs. this team before in the playoffs (2021). Everybody talks about how bad a matchup they are for us, but I'm not sure I actually believe that. They just have a clear veteran talent edge against most if not all teams.

Nothing to lose in a rebuilding year, just have fun.

9ers seem destined this year after so many close calls.

Could be a little of both because Gary does have a tendency to overpursue and lose the edge. Probably was a real focus with Dak because he's kind of in that in-between QB zone where he's a threat to run but not so much so you burn a guy spying.

Same boat. I didn't expect a beat down in Dallas, but I felt way more confident against them than SF. Niners feel built to exploit our defensive weaknesses.

I do think we'll be able to put up points, though. So, a couple turnovers and who the **** knows?

Really tough that Enegbare hurt his ACL. He’s been a baller since getting drafted.

Hope Cox plays well if he’s elevated.

It's a nice luxury to have 4 EDGE dudes to rotate but I hope they just increase the snap count on Gary, Preston and LVN

I know its asking Barry to shift his program, but maybe blitz Walker, or one of the Safeties more often. Give Shanahan a bit of twist to think on.

ESPN using a pic of Romeo Doubs as their cover photo for their divisional round preview is something I didn't expect to see today.

I think that reducing Preston's snaps this year (66%) has actually been great in keeping him fresh on passing downs though. Wouldn't be changing up anything there, but absolutely blitz Quay more, and LVN should be getting all the snaps he can handle at this point. He's been quietly really solid as a run-defender:

https://www.pff.com/news/nfl-grading-all-first-round-picks-week-15-2023-nfl-season#:~:text=His%2067.4%20run%2Ddefense%20grade,sound%20football%20as%20of%20late.

His best work came in run support, where he generally did a nice job setting the edge and taking on pulling guards. His 67.4 run-defense grade led all Packers defensive linemen. Van Ness isn't the flashiest player, but he has done a nice job of playing fundamentally sound football as of late.

Pretty sure that's a regional thing. Depending on where you are, that'll determine which team will be highlighted on your ESPN front page.

Really? I rarely ever see any Packers/Bucks/Brewers on the ESPN homepage...especially as the main cover. I'm not logged into an account or anything either.

I think ad-blockers and other browser features/characteristics/settings can interfere with their attempts to tailor their content, but in general that's what they're trying to do - just like magazines back in the day would have different cover options in different regions, despite all the same content within.

I am logged in to be fair, but I've noticed it generally. I think it's based on the IP? I started noticing it about a year ago.

Well then, I'm really pissed with the lack of Bucks/Giannis love.

Read on Twitter

Shanahan basically calling Love a system QB is some nice bulletin board material.

Beating the Niners then ripping the Lions dream season away from them would be one of the best runs in packer history....if the team hasnt won a **** of championships. The expectation in that locker room has to be winning it all, its not called Titletown for nothing

Would be both awesome and hilarious on an epic level if it only takes Love one year as the starter to tie Rodgers in Super Bowl appearances.....lol.
