Can't stand MLF for the longest time but he did say Jones is still nowhere near fully healthy before the game.

Poor Cousins, injuries suck and it's a contract year for him too. :(

It's because he doesn't trust his accuracy so he's trying to finesse every pass.

It’d be interesting to see Clifford for a couple games. I thought he looked promising in preseason (I actually thought he looked better than Love, considering his inexperience).

Plus we’d learn some things; about Love, about MLF.

I just realized we had perfect conditions in every single game we played so far this season. Just imagine Love and the rest of our "weapons" on offense in freezing cold or heavy rain.

Exactly what I was thinking, but not only the weather, we have played terrible teams so far, imagine when we face real teams in the December with a snow and windy.

The early 80’s teams were great offensively, they just absolutely stunk on defense.

The late 80’s teams just plain stunk.

I'm in my mid 40s so I have some vague memories of Lynn Dickey, dude could spin it.

Then it was the rough Randy Wright, Anthony Delwig, Blair Keil era before the Majic Man into Favre.

All true, but the frequent ineptness in all facets was disheartening. They don't appear to be improving, which may point to not hitting bottom yet. :-?

You gotta see improvement, even if they're not good. Hardest part of watching is that the team seems to be worse week by week. When this happened in Rhodes' first year, Wolf fired him quickly.

Today was a blast from my childhood past of the 80s. Packers looking terrible, then watching the Seahawks in those blue and gray uniforms. Those blue uniforms still look good. I remember the Seahawks (AFC West version) became my non-Packers favorite team for a few years, when they had WI-bred Dave Krieg, Largent, Curt Warner, Brian Blades. Not sure why but they were often the 3:00 game in WI on NBC (they used to have the AFC, CBS had the NFC, Fox didn't exist), with Dick Enberg and Merlin Olsen announcing. Good times lol.

I love Brandt but this take is totally ignorant. Gute and Lafleur have been a dumpster fire - not even going to hit on Barry because I shouldn't have to.

On Gute - his first 2 drafts yielded 3 guys worth paying (Alexander, Gary, Jenkins). Not bad, but we got nothing from any of his later picks. 2020-21: you're looking at Love and Stokes, a dumpster fire as of today. 2022-23 - way too early to tell, but each draft had 3 picks in the top 2 rounds. Which of these guys look like they could make a pro bowl some day?? (THE ANSWER IS ZERO).

On Lafleur - listen to his press conferences, THE DUDE IS LOST. He doesn't know what to do or how to fix this. Love has shown that at a minimum there is something there to work with. Lafleur, if he is what he's supposed to be (an offensive "mind") should be able to create a game plan to work to his strengths. He can't. He's Mike Mccarthy without the Super Bowl.

We need to move on from all of this. We won't for a variety of reasons, the two biggest being Murphy's lame duck status, and the whole "dead cap rebuild excuse" literally listed above.

I'm not sure how you can look at the results of the last 4 drafts and say "yeah let's have that guy make these top 5 picks for us."

So I guess trading up and drafting Love wasn't a great idea after all. Who knew??

As long as the 3 Stooges (Murph/Gute/MLF) are still running things, Love is going to have the longest leash ever. If he isn't out there playing, then they're admitting they **** up the whole Love/Rodgers situation, and that ain't gonna happen.

All three guys need to be gone at season's end. I don't want their stench on the next draft. They'd probably pass up on Caleb Williams because they have Love.

It is not remotely clear that Love is the problem. He has some issues, but he has some stuff you can't teach as well.

His supporting cast is literal ****. Rc's and 2nd year guys, not one difference maker (outside of Jones who we for whatever reason have limited to 10 touches a game for his entire career).

If Lafleaur were good at all he'd be able to figure it out. The fact he can't suggests he's not good.

Gute is a dumpster fire

Nah, Love has been ass. Maybe he'll turn it around by season's end. But I'd be surprised if that happens. The worst thing that could happen coming out of this season is to not know whether your starting QB is any good.
