To be fair Crosby is awesome and he wrecked sh*t against a young line.

Crosby was awesome. Amazing what a defensive coordinator can do when he has a talented player.

We get 1 sack from Gary and we’re thrilled - Crosby was a wrecking ball the entire game.

Yea, Crosby is really, really good. Not that put a lot of stock in what the players think, but they did vote him the #17 overall player in the entire league this season.

Gary's not that guy.

Or ya know, maybe stop trying to block him with Tucker Kraft. Gary had three sacks against the Saints in limited snaps, he WAS that guy against a better ball club.

I also really like Gary. He's also very good.

I'm souring more on MLF than Love.

Love has been put in a really tough spot. Terrible run game without Jones. No veteran receiver to lean on. Patchwork offensive line. Mix that with bad playcalling...

Rodgers got to walk in to an elite offense filled with pro bowl level vets.

If the Packers make a change this season or offseason hopefully they completely clean house from Murphy on down

Borderline season-killing loss IMO. At least from a playoffs standpoint. Not seeing too many more road wins on the schedule (Denver, Carolina, and maybe the Giants?) if we couldn't pull this one out. You expect the growing pains but you also don't expect MLF to be this outmatched schematically. Just an absolute masterclass in vanilla play-calling resulting in getting your inexperienced QB killed out there. The Raiders defense had ONE **** guy you had to account for, and we couldn't/didn't account for him....

I'll give them credit for playing well last night. The Offense was definitely the let-down

We know that several key players had poor games last night.

Who had a good game (overall)?
Preston Smith, Rudy Ford, Elgton Jenkins, AJ Dillon, Anders Carlson. Anyone else?

Packers currently 17th in DVOA on both O and D. So so far, more mediocre than terrible. I’d honestly rather have Love look awful and win 5 games over him looking mediocre and winning 8-9. We will see what happens.

I know I only really advocated for bringing Marcedes and Amos back, but this was another perfect example of why it might have actually been a good idea to go out and get a veteran in that receiver room. The amount of guys bunched together within 5-yards of each other was staggering. No one seemed to know where to be.

Agreed, and to be fair, that would speed up their development. It's good to have a mentor.

Conditions for Love aren't great but if you're only good when conditions around are great you're probably not 'the guy'.

For the young QB should sit thruthers in what way are we seeing those benefits right now? Because he looks like a typical young QB to me.

Also if it turns out to not be the guy and they draft someone next year do you think that guy should sit?

Probably sit, because I don't see us using a 1st round in another QB, maybe a 2nd considering that we have 2. If Love doesn't show any signs of progress, then, maybe this other rookie could take over during the season.

The worst is when they run their route and then just stand there when Love breaks the pocket. If I were an OC, I'd make a "rule" saying when the QB breaks the pocket run back to the LOS if you are inside the hashes and go long if you are outside. Or something similar involving strong side/weak side, TEs/WR. 1) You get everyone moving which should cause confusion in the secondary as to who has who. 2) You get receivers on at least 2 different levels so they aren't all crammed into the same space. Aikman pointed out how dumb it is to have so many guys running a route in the same area.

I thought the D looked fine with Walker and Savage out. Savage straight up sucks so no surprise there. I'll be curious to see how things look it Walker misses time because I still think it's a bit of a good splash play/less noticable bad read fundamentals mix from him.

The one play I really noticed missing Walker was on the Jacobs TD run, Mcduffie & Wilson got moved out of the way so easily
