Well it did feel good having 5 picks out of the first 100. Definitely a rare feeling.

Ron Wolf used to say you need 4 solid starters in your draft for it to be successful. I think Gute already got 2-3 starters this year and possibly 4 future starters.

Gute killed it in Day 2. Excited to see what we do tomorrow.

Is Gutey doing a presser tonight?

The godfather Kiper weighs in.

I'm a huge fan of Cooper, who flies to the football. He makes plays all over the field. He's my No. 1 off-ball linebacker, and I have him at No. 26 in my rankings. He will be a three-down linebacker for Green Bay, which released De'Vondre Campbell last month. He ran a 4.51-second 40-yard dash, a great time for a defender who weighs 230 pounds. This is a great pick. Even better, Green Bay was able to trade down to get Cooper. It added Nos. 45, 168 and 190 while sending No. 41 to New Orleans.

Green Bay also landed my top-ranked safety in Round 2 in Bullard, who will be a rookie contributor for a team that rebuilt its safety room this offseason. He will be a nice complement next to free agent signing Xavier McKinney.

In Round 3, the Packers added running back MarShawn Lloyd (No. 88) and off-ball linebacker Ty'Ron Hopper (No. 91). I would have preferred Jaylen Wright over Lloyd, but they're both really solid. As for Hopper, I had several linebackers ranked above him who were still available. He's my 15th-ranked LB.

Waking up and remembering the Packers have a safety duo of Xavier McKinney & Javon Bullard hits differently

This is also why he loves having so many picks. Creates competition in camp, gives you more darts at the date board. Even when they don't trade up for a player I like, I understand it.

Wilde just said he thinks we grab a QB today, and wouldn't be surprised if its Rattler.

I could see that if he's still there in the 4th.

We supposedly had him in on a top 30 visit. I'd prefer Michael Pratt or Kedon Slovis but I do think Rattler would be an improvement on Clifford as QB2

Love that pick for Denver. Reunite Bo Nix with a familiar target.

Day one was safe but needed pick.

Day two was about as much of a homerun as you could possibly expect. Gain two really good prospects at positions of need AND gained picks while doing it?! Great athletes and high production. Cooper feels like a first round pick and Bullard fits so versatile, can play slot and in the box and deep? Looks like an awesome fit next to McKinney. I love it.

Don't know much about the third round dudes. Lloyd feels like a shot at redemption for the Dillon pick, who he ironically probably beats out for reps right away (hopefully). Dillon as a 3rd is fine but has been disappointing overall as an early pick.

Day 4 we should draft like 3 corners, add more OL depth and probably at least one DL. I think they like the DL and corners we have and we got lucky that the board fell to BPA and need meeting. Will be interested to see if they take a WR or TE, it would be pretty hard for one of those dudes to even make the roster let alone play.
