I'd have to watch the play again, but I'm guessing they were in a zone on that 3rd which is why Quay was in coverage on Lamb.

Possible. But what's best case scenario? They return it to the 20 instead of getting the ball on the 25? Net of a mere 5 yards. Downside, long return or even a return for a TD.
