1. How big of an idiot was 57 to keep running around with the ball
2. Seems weird there was nothing to the short right. Wonder if AJ had any opportunity to leak out

Seemed like he had an easy 10 yard gain if he would have (assuming Love would have seen him) but decided to whiff on a block instead.

Really needed to punch it in after that long run and we failed. Offense has had so many opportunities to put playoff games away the last 12 years and has come up short so many times.

This loss would be easier to swallow if we had a juggernaut waiting for us in the NFCCG. But it would've **** been either DET or TB. Two very winnable games. With a chance to go to the damn SB. In Love's first year. This could've been an absolutely magical ride that people would've been talking about for years.

Yeah just felt like you would try your hardest to get Jones in the open field. Still had plenty of time when you can take a drop down or two.

Anders needs to be replaced but the whole team left some plays on the field. Hell if I was ranking top guy responsible I would put Savage over Carlson.

This.

It would have been one those weird situations where our most beatable opponent would have come in the NFC championship game. Kind of like 2010 when we played a really good Eagles team and the #1 seed Falcons and then just had to beat a fraud Bears team in the championship game.

Not saying the Lions are frauds but I would have liked our chances vs them more than I liked our chances vs Dallas and San Francisco.

For perspective, would we really have been happier with a game like the Texans had? Hanging for a while and then getting outclassed and blown out in an uncompetitive game?

Yeah it sucks to lose the way we did, again, in such similar fashion to the seemingly 20 other times we have lost to the 49ers, but the team played pretty well in horrible conditions and was one or two plays from playing for the super bowl. With a different kicker and defensive coordinator, the future of this team looks bright.

Only thing cushioning the blow is the fact Love did stink it up in the fourth. It’s not like we wasted a performance for the ages.

Feel bad for Anders. On that plane ride home, he’s going to be like the cursed officer in Master and Commander.

But the team is young, made a lot of mistakes and lost to the better team.

Anders never believed he was making that kick you can see it in his face. That in and of itself is the problem he doesn’t have good kicker mental strength. But he most definitely wasn’t the only reason they blew this game.

I hated the soft defense allowing them to dink and dunk down the field and eat up basically the entire clock. Just be hyper aggressive trying to make a play and if they make one instead at least you have time. There was no resistance the last drive.

Love and Jones weren’t on the same page on the 3rd and 2 that stung. Still no idea what Love was doing that last pass but he was lights out through 3 quarters. Tom going out hurt big time.

All in all I’m tired of doing this every year they always find a way to choke.

Losing this game sucks and is heartbreaking. The 49ers took advantage of Love's mistakes and we weren't able to take advantage of Purdy's. Carlson's missed kick obviously hurt as well. But all that said we just took arguably the best team in the NFL down to the wire. What we did this season was incredibly rare and basically unheard of in the modern NFL. To have a team this young play as well as they did is basically a pipe dream for an NFL organization and we shouldn't let the ending deter us from that truth. Obviously we all wanted a Superbowl run but it's hard to not be incredibly optimistic about the future of this franchise. This was honestly the funnest season of my life and I've quite enjoyed the debates and discussion with you all. Go Pack Go!

Yep. I thought if they could've slayed their proverbial beast that is the 49ers then I'd've bought that the Packers actually make it to the Owl.

This loss was probably almost as much of a gut punch for Lions fans as it was for us.

Your team has never been to the Super Bowl and you just went from hosting the NFC Championship game against the #7 seed, to now having to go on the road and play the #1 seed. Assuming the Lions beat the Bucs.

I would have liked our chances against the Lions next week, but odds would have been against us going into Detroit and beating them for the 2nd time this season.

If the Bucs win tomorrow, it will be more salt in the wound for us. Playing the Lions wouldn't have been a lock, but I think we would have stomped the Bucs.

This one is hurting more than I thought it would. What a rollercoaster with Love, but **** we had it.

Hope this isn't a flash in the pan and that we can draft strong and own the North next year.

This one isn't hurting me much, honestly. Maybe it's because I'm used to it, but I think it's more because I never expected them to get this far to begin with and because I'm as excited for the future of this team as I have been since maybe 2009 or so. For them to be this young and have a **** juggernaut 49ers team on the ropes on the road late in the fourth is hella impressive.

Lots to look forward to.
