Some reports out that the turf at NRG Stadium may have played a roll in Clowney's injury.
Does anyone know why they go with the two-layer turf system? From what I understand they only bring the natural turf in for Texans games while all other activities are played on the artificial turf below.
This isn't the first time we've heard of the seams between the patches of turf causing problems. Brett the Hitman Hartmann claims that his career was ruined due to this turf.
Clowney is out 4-6 weeks. That's a big hit to a major investment. If the turf was a factor then we should see a change. I say go with permanent natural turf. Keep the roof open if we must.
