Jags supposedly in play to try to sign Cousins.

With the money Jimmy G just got, Cousins is now going to be super expensive.

I am super torn on this. On one hand, I do think Cousins would be an upgrade to Bortles but not at the price he is going to command. Signing Cousins will pretty much dry up all your cap room for the next handful of years so you better hope he is the guy.

I still think I would move ahead with Bortles and then bring in competition through the draft or FA.

I would go with bortles and spend the money upgrading the rest to the roster.

Yeah, I wouldn’t be surprised if Cousins ends up in New York or Denver.

Still looks like Bortles will be the Jags starting QB with a high draft pick being his main competitor.

I kinda hope we go after AJ McCarron as a Backup to Bortles.
Tyrod Taylor just went for a Third Rounder (which is slightly high for him), but he is a decent QB. He would give Bortles a run for his money, he is arguably a lot more consistent and functional and his throwing mechanics arent as broken, hence his accuracy is better.

I think McCarron would be even better and if we can get him for a Pick I would go for it. Then get TE and OL in the Draft.
I really want a Backup QB that challenges Bortles and I feel like a middle Round QB in the Draft just wont have the quality to put immediate pressure on BB.
