Camarillo to the Vikings... Who takes his spot?

Post#1 » by ExplosionsInDaSky » Wed Aug 25, 2010 11:39 pm

It's official.. Camarillo is a Viking and we are getting cornerback Benny Sapp in return. Not sure who Benny Sapp is but it looks like he's a fringe bench player for our team. Maybe special teams? Either way Cam will be missed but it's not heartbreaking to lose him. Question is who steps up in his place?
My guess is Turner now gets a fair shot at making an impact for our team.. Thoughts?

Wow I just saw it, wow I think that's terrible for us! I thought Camarillo would've had a huge career with Marshall on the other end

Camarillo fell to 4th on the depth chart at best. depending on who you talk to he might have even been 5th.

Marshall, Hartline and Bess were clearly ahead of him and some would put Patrick Turner ahead of him as well.

we needed a DB as Will Allen is coming along slower then expected from his injury. Benny Sapp was a solid player for Minnesota down the stretch last year.

Benny Sapp started a few games last year for the Vikes, so he does solve some problems. Camarillo was 5th on our depth chart and doesn't play special teams. I like the trade...

I doubt it but if we could get him cheap I'd love to have him. Brandon and TJ and bess would be oh so awesome for henne and if ronnie can just stay healthy and D plays hard I say we could make it to second round in playoffs at least :)
