Ol' Teddy is available out of the blue. If Hunter holds out they could always trade him for Teddy so when Cousins has a struggle they can bring back the 1TD dream. The perfect QB for Speilman's running back led teams. Zimmer's eye has been missing a twinkle ever since they lost him.

Seeing an unbeleivable article about Carolina trading for Darnold and making Teddy available made me think about all the great offensive lineman of the Teddy in purple era. Where are they now?

2015 and going into 2016...
Kalil, Boone, Berger, Sullivan, Fusco, Smith, Clemmings, Easten, Kerin, Sirles, Beavers, Faciane.
Any of them still playing? Can you believe that was only like 5 years ago?

Today it's
Hill, Dozier, Bradbury, Cleveland, Oneil, Samia, Udoh, Cole, Hinton, Bailey

People still wonder...Why do the Vikings never reach the top? I think the Patriots still have three depth Lineman from the 2016 season today starting or on the roster. Buccaneers still have Donovan Smith at LT and Ali Marpet G from 2016, still starting, maybe a third lineman is still on roster from back then. Remmers I think starts for Kansas City. Vikings had him in 2013 and again in 2017. He's only had two Superbowl starts outside his stints with Vikings.

Vikings have one LT and no depth for it. I suppose that means draft Tackle time? no? Good luck Vikings faithful. It's Rick's time of year, rejoice.

I haven't. Obviously anything to improve the offensive line would be appreciated.

well brown got traded to the chiefs, so that's out

apparently there are rumors the vikings could trade up if a tackle falls far enough but i suppose that is the type of stuff that always comes out, any plausible scenario becomes a rumor. and with trader rick, every scenario is a plausible one

Draft day today! It seems the most common pick in the mock drafts I've seen is Alijah Vera-Tucker. Obviously the Viking need o-line help, so I wouldn't complain, not that I know anything specifically about the player.

my prediction is there are handful of guys the vikes like at 14 and they move back a few spots (to the high teens range), and take someone there while acquiring a few more picks

then later they'll use those picks and some of their other ones to move back into the second round

what do you think? too high for a guard? if the chargers didn't take slater right before we might have stayed and taken him

Would have been nice if Slater fell one more pick, but I can't complain how it turned out. I expect the Vikings to trade back up into the 2nd round, but they also have plenty of positions I'd like to see filled, so I wouldn't entirely mind if they stood pat took a G,QB, and DE in the 3rd.

yeah i'd say things worked out pretty well, got a good tackle and picked up a couple more picks. listened to the interviews, sounds like they tried to trade up but couldn't get any takers (maybe for slater), and then after they traded down to 23 they were trying to trade back up to make sure they could get darrisaw. again no takers so they kind of got lucky he fell.

hopefully they can get an opportunity to move into the second, especially since everyone knows that's what we want to do

so the line is darrisaw/???/bradbury/cleveland/o'neill

i suppose cleveland could go in either guard spot, but i'd say we still need another guard. i'd really rather not have dozier starting again

He was the 2nd overall recruit coming out of high school and a 4 year starter. Kipper didn’t seem to be a fan.
Something called Chazz Surratt from North Carolina as a linebacker was just picked.

Wyatt Davis, guard from Ohio State. Could be a starter right away.

Patrick Jones, DE from Pittsburgh. Needed a defensive end. Covered a lot of needs in this round.
