Re: OT: Patriots
That was absurd lol..have to think some wounds opened up in Seattle if they watched that lololololol
Seems to me like teams are so desperate to beat the Patriots that they just end up beating themselves with these questionable decisions.
I'll take it though.

Re: OT: Patriots
Pittsburgh handed us the win lol Tomlin, I thought they'd go for it at 4 & 1 with 2:16 to go, instead they gave us the ball with 2 TO and 2 min warning left. Brady is clutch, Gronk is huge tonight. Defense didn't do well on 3rd downs all night, so that 4 & 1 punt with them Killing us all night that was huge.
And there was no touchdown for Pittsburgh, his knees were down before the endzone I hope Tony romo shuts the hell up. l

Terrible overturn of that last steeler touchdown. Even worse throw by Rapistburger two plays later

Great game, I got no horse in this race, but I thought that was a touchdown. I have no clue what a catch is anymore. But either way was a great game and Patriots are still the team to beat.

Also I love how after the Gronk TD for 2, he was all dancing and Brady scolded him and told him it wasn't over. Highlighted their contrasting personalities.

Certainly wasn't a TD as the knee was down, but definitely should have been pass interference on the interception. But, so is life.

Knee had nothing to do with it. He wasn't touched and it isn't college. It was overruled because he didn't hang on to the ball as he hit the ground.

Re: OT: Patriots
Yeah we might be going a bit far with catches these days. Seems like you have to catch the ball, stick it up your arse and secure it before you come down or something. It's getting a bit ridiculous i think.
EDIT: I was screaming at the TV about his knee being down but according to all the announcers that wasn't the problem. He wasn't touched. it was the movement of the ball on the ground that called it back.

Awful call. Knee down doesn’t mean a damn thing as he wasn’t touched. Guy caught the ball, secured it, made a football move and broke the plain with the ball. Touchdown.

I think this one falls under the "correct call, awful rule" category. Same deal as Dez a couple of years ago.
That said, Pitt should have picked that one from Brady on the Pats last drive. If you give Brady a second chance, he will beat you every time.
And Roethlisberger should have thrown that ball away instead of forcing it. Could have kicked the FG and went to OT.
I expect them to play again in the AFC Championship. No one else in the AFC is on par with either team.

Hell of a play by Rowe to force the interception.
And, of course, Tom Brady is a serial killer in the 4th quarter.

I’m not sure why people are so surprised the TD was overturned. That is always called that way, it just usually isn’t in that context. Think of plays near the sideline where the ball moves as the guy is going to the ground. It’s really clear cut, people just hate the Pats and like to complain.

Everything else aside, don’t throw a slant on the goal line vs the Patriots. It just won’t end well.

Yep. The rule is stupid, but theyre consistent in its application. If you saw them overturn the Dez play, or the Calvin Johnson play, you knew they were definitely overturning the call on the field.

Exactly, the ground can cause an incompletion even in the end zone as long as the player hasn't made a "football move" beforehand, and catching on the way to the ground without controlling it all the way through the landing doesn't qualify as a football move. **** way to lose for Pitt and I'm sure all the haters will assume Brady somehow whisked air out of the ball from the sideline but we'll take the win.
