Hmmmm,... O s c a r ?...... o0

(kidding - jk) =}

sing along - my hot dog has a first name, it's O S C A R

for the record, I refuse to call anyone other than the original Big O

LOLOLOL - agree completely! If someone with an first name beginning with 'O' can average a triple double for a season,.... then,... I might consider it,.... until then, there is only one 'Big O'. =]

Edey is apparently the only person other than him to lead the nation in scoring and get to the final four.

As much as I enjoy seeing O-Tshiebwe play,... and he isn't small,.. LOL - 'Big-O', at least for me, is still taken. Maybe he should have the nickname 'ROBOT'?... Rebounding Original Big Oscar Tshiebwe?....... o0

He came close,... though he only actually did it for 1 season, he was only a half a rebound a game from doing it in 3 or 4 others. The thing that really stands our for me,... he played 79, 75, 76 games in 3 seasons back to back to back,.. with over 45 minutes a game in all 3. Yeah,.. the game was different. Yeah, they didn't play with the pace they do today. But, to play pro-level basketball during almost any modern era of the sport have that kind of stamina,... to me amazing.

I'm not sure about that but I'm not going to look anything up. I remember watch the Celtics in the Bill Russell era and they regularly got to 100 at the end of the third quarter.

I don’t follow the Mad Ants or read articles as closely as I do the Pacers.

As a top 6 record team in the league playoffs they were the only one who had a losing road record. They were a 3 seed and lost to the 6th seed in Gainbridge tonight. I’m not surprised that they exited the playoffs early.

I got the feeling that their season success was more on an individual level game by game rather than a team level.

So I don’t pretend to know how much emphasis the front office puts on team winning, but feel that they value player development more.

While I think the Pacer's front office will look at the season results I think they will look more so at it as individual players had playing time to mature which accomplishes the goal of turning these players into potential role players such as Oshae Brissett was.

The players I think that benefited this season from time with the Mad Ants are:

Jarace Walker (added playing time) NBA talent
Ben Sheppard (added playing time) NBA talent
Kendall Brown (skills improvement)
Oscar Tshiebwe (skills improvement)
Isiah Wong (skills improvement)

On a different level of personal success:
Jordan Bell (career length route)
Elfrid Payton (career rejuvenating)
Kyle Mangas ( career building)

Rest of Mad Ants players I can’t say I know that anyone else stood out as a future valuable asset.

After the loss the coach said it was a tough matchup as the team they played plays 5 guards.

I stand corrected. Thanks mate. =} I went and looked at 'pace' as we calculate it today for some of the seasons in the 60's. Just a quick random sample,... and you are spot on. The teams in the 60's did average more possessions per game (generally) than they do today.

Thank you. I learned something today. =]

they ran. they almost had to in order to get open shots as the jump shot came into the game sometime in the middle of that era. you can't shoot a two-hand push shot with someone in your face so you and the ball have to move.

also, they were taught not to lift weights and they smoked in the locker room at halftime.

I can tell y’all on Friday. I’m heading in town for the 500, and the arena is on the way to a family members house.

Have a good time at the 500. It’s a fun day if you’re lucky enough to have good seats up high or in the shade part of the day.

It’ll be my 27th of 28 consecutive years. I missed 2 years ago when my daughter was born just before race day. It’s a high holy day for me and my family.
