I think the Pacers will win with Tobias Harris being out. That’s a key rebounder and third scoring option.

Halftime Pacers player depth is evident easily cruising to a 73-61 lead. Pacers look more like the complete team.

Embid 19
Maxey 19

Pacers with 5 in double figures and shooting 8-16 from 3. Philly 2-11 18% from 3.

They managed to make me nervous but it's a nice win.

Walker and Sheppard have played well recently and it kinda rubs me wrong that both aren’t getting some more run. The 4th quarter tonight the game was in hand and he could have made an appearance.

Granted Sheppard is a different position situation, but I think they could squeeze Walker in at the 3 since Siakam and Toppin are taking all the 4 minutes. Just feels like they are not playing him for an unknown reason.

I don’t necessarily disagree but I like that players are having to earn their minutes. Walker had to work on some stuff for a while before getting his chance. I think Carlisle is nailing it with the young players tbh.

One of the best games of the season. Siakam was unreal and also best night of the season for Nembhard.

Siakam is so great at off-ball movement too. What a complete player.

Trade deadline coming up. I'm guessing they're gauging interest in a big or two. They are not gauging interest in Walker. So until then there is a benefit to playing the veterans. Hoping Walkers minutes trend up after that, with or without a trade.

Watching Siakam up close the other day, and on TV today, whew. He's been getting doubled, and moving the ball quickly and intelligently. For a team that values ball movement, it really leaves Myles as the only guy in the starting lineup most nights that isn't a plus player in ball movement. Nesmith might be in that category as well. Even more impressive for a guy who just got here.

Either way it's a big help in how we want to play. Hali was getting blitzed and double teamed before he got here. Now he's getting it while Hali is out. When they're playing together, good luck doing that to either of them.

It's fun watching him because he is LOOKING for Myles. I don't think it's lip service that he's excited to play with a shooting 5. I think 4-5 of his assists tonight were to Myles off memory. We aren't title contenders, but I think this team is going to be annoying. The team that takes title contenders to 7 games, and is one sprain ankle from upsetting a better team. Next year if Mathurin or Walker make big jumps, it could get real interesting in here for the first time in a very long time.

Again, Caitlin was talking about Walker on the recent Podcast with 2 of the raptor analysts (not Samson Folk). She was saying that Walker was showing really good individual skills, but Carlisle's defense is difficult to master. There were too many times that Jarace would make seemingly a 'good' play, but he would break scheme & force a scramble or bad rotation from the others. She said, he's doing it less and less, but still needs the time. When he is used in limited roles within the scheme, he's fine, he just needs the time to continue to learn. His upside on D seems to be just ridiculous.

Turner's defense on Embiid last night was spectacular, also. If we end up playing them in the playoffs in the next few years, it'd be really nice if that could continue.

I see no reason to trade walker unless someone gets crazy with an offer, he's got 3 years after this one on his rookie deal and we've barely seen him play.
