My Keys to the Game:

We need to keep Tinsley to a distributing role at all costs, and try to keep the offense moving. Our bench needs to provide us with a lot of energy, the starting roster has been slow and lethargic the past couple games. We also need to keep Baron Davis from shooting, and make their role players make shots.

My Prediction:

This one is going to be close, and it might go to overtime. Stephen Jackson goes off for thirty, but on a high volume of shot attempts. Mike Dunleavy has a solid game, and We win in overtime 112-109.

We need this Win!

Ike Diogu inactive again?

You never know, but probably Al Harrington will start again, not Barnes. But you never know.

JO was a beast Sunday.

Prediction? None.
Mike Dunleavy will go for 9 points though.

Nice game thread jeremy, I too enjoyed the Stephen Jackson entry. Any chance he landed on Ron Artest?

That uniform just looks wrong on Cro. Sorry, visiting Dubs fans.

My key to the game: somebody please guard Baron Davis and Monta Ellis this time!!! Except I don't think we have anyone on our roster who can. :(

I think we should play Andre Owens instead of Deiner. He can guard Baron.

Also we should probably put Quisy (not Rush) on Ellis. That should take care of those two.

I am looking forward to this game.

If you didn't notice, Diener is playing well now and the team looks great with him in, epsecially the game before last when the team was moving and rotating while he was in, but struggling with Tinsley in. You gotta face it, Diener brings more than Owens even if he can't defend as well. His defense isn't even that terrible, and I bet he isn't even that bad of a defender when he isn't guarding the likes of Baron Davis.

This Diener-Owens debate is a lot like asking someone if they'd rather be poked in the eye or kicked in the shin. If either one of them is starting for your team for an extended period of time, you can pretty much count on having no worse than the fourth pick in the draft the next year.
I have no idea what you're talking about, and clearly, neither do you.

Going to have to agree with Count, either way... we aren't in good shape.

Nevertheless, Go Pacers!

Actually, I think Diener has the type of potential to be able to be a backup point guard that won't hurt your team if e has to start every once in a while. He has point guard skills, and can score (as shown a couple games ago). This team does great with him on the court, so I don't see why you guys don't like him.

I am not starting any Owens v Deiner debate at all. I believe Deiner is a better player than Owens is.
I am not saying either of them should start. That would be suicide. I still belive in Tinsley as you will notice from my previous posts in other threads.

All I am saying is that for thi particular game Owens is a better matchup than Deiner to guard the more physical Baron.

Besides just becuase Deiner has played well in 2 games does not give him quality player status in my eyes.

All I am saying is against the Warriors owens is going to be the better option at backup.

But then we are playing 4 on 5 on offense and that is not something you need to do against the Warriors, besides JO will hold down the paint in case Davis gets around Diener.

The thing is last game our lack of ability to stop Davis and Ellis (their two perimeter guys) was one of the causes of us losing, despite JO playing well.

I think we should try and mix it up this time by bringing Owens into the mix.
However I am sure that Deiner will get the call ahead of Owens.

By the way both Davis and Ellis had solid games today against the Wolves

They will probably be tired tomorrow so we should be okay, plus, Ellis is very inconsistent so him having back to back solid games should work in our favor, he will probably have a stinker against us.

Ellis has had a few solid games (one just today and against us).
Overall I hope you are right and the Warriors have a stinker and we get a solid win. It will be great for our confidence (and Mike, Troy's and Ike's) if we can beat them.

What do you guys think will be the reaction to Harrington and Jack when they are announced.

I have a feeling that Al will be cheered but Jack will probably be booed all game, kind of like Mikey D was over in Oakland.

I don't think either will get a good reception, Harrington was terrible on our team and we all know why Jackson will get booed. I think the game will be close but I'm pretty sure we'll win. I really think Diener needs to get in this game, playing against the Warriors with his shooting would be deadly, especially since he is a lot faster than Davis.
