The Giants' defense looked pretty good with three interceptions and five sacks on Alex Smith. The Giants held the 49ers, regarded by some as the best team in the NFL, to just 1 field goal with no touchdowns. The Giants did get a little lucky with the 49ers missing two fields goals. Alex Smith finished the game with a 46.4 QB Rating. Today, the Giants' defense made the Giants' offense job really easy.
This game did not really require much effort from Eli Manning; however, he made a couple of big plays with Hixon. I am glad to see Hixon do well. I just hope he stays healthy. David Wilson had some nice returns. Bradshaw started running well in the second half.
I just wish the Giants can play like this within their division.
I am not that excited about this game, because the Giants, if they advance after the season, will very well meet the 49ers again in the postseason.
