1st round #20 Aaron Ross CB Texas

Not really thrilled with this pick. I would have rather we picked a cover corner like Houston. Reminds me a lot of Webster; press corner, not great speed, ball hawk (Webster had 16 picks in college), big and strong, very good leaping ability and played at a winning program. The Webster-Ross duo kind of reminds me of the Madison-Surtain duo at Miami several years back. The problem I have with this pick is I don't think Ross is fast enough to stay with guys like Steve Smith which I think has been our biggest problem over the past few years. I think he'll turn into a great player but I have a feeling the speed guys like Moss and
4th round #116 Zak DeOssie LB Brown

Love this pick. Maybe my favorite pick of the draft (other option being the Steve Smith pick). Smart, athletic, productive and versatile. I think he'll be starting in a few years. I was praying we would select him here. Was the highest rated player on my board at this time.

5th round #153 Kevin Boss TE Western Oregon

At first I was furious with this pick. I didn't know anything about him and I was dying for us to pick John Wendling here. After seeing his highlight reel and learning a little about him I don't hate the pick so much and I definately like him as a player. I think he'll develope into an excellent Tight End. I still would've much rather had John Wendling with this pick.

6th round #189 Adam Koets OT Oregon State

I like this player. Project tackle with a lot of potential and it seems there is a good chance that he will develope into a great tackle. He won't play right away. I was hoping for Mason Crosby with this pick.

Edit- Here's a highlight video of Adam Koets:

Looks pretty good out there.

7th round #224 Michael Johnson SS Arizona

Love this pick. He was the guy I wanted at this spot. I watched him a bit at Arizona. The highest rated safety (and player) still on my board. Great athletic ability and productivity. Has great speed, ball skills and closing speed. Excellent hitter and tackler. Should have been a 3rd or 4th. I think he will eventually be a starter. Will transition to Free Safety.

Edit- Here's a Michael Johnson highlight film:

I love this guy!

7th round #250 Ahmad Bradshaw RB Marshall

Ok pick. Fills a need. Small back with decent speed. Great productivity at Marshall. "Slippery" back, very shifty. Good balance. Jack of all trades. The best RB they've ever produced. Other possiblities at this pick include Kenny Scott, Mkristo Bruce, Enoka Lucas, Kyle Young, David Ball, Syvelle Newton and Andre Caldwell.

Edit- Here's a highlight video of Ahmad Bradshaw:

Very Impressive. Like to hear that he can return kicks and punts.

Side Note- I think all of our draft picks will make our roster. They all fill needs.

Nice reports and thanks for the vids. I agree with a lot fot he things you said. I'm very excited to see Ross get going, I think he'll fit in beautifully with this defense. Smith looks to be a potentially great posession receiver who I believe will fill in niecely for Amani if his knee acts up. In addition he will keep Sinorice in check all season, I expect a great battle between the two for the 3rd receiver spot.

As for the other picks, I loved the Michael Johnson and the Ahmad Bradshaw picks. Johnson was a great value pick for where we got him when his ability could have gotten him picked in the middle rounds of the draft. After seeing Bradshaw's video I'm very impressed. He looks to be a nice balanced and fluid runner who might just lack that break-away speed. He's a very intriguing prospect and in my opinion a good pick from what it looks like right now.

Overall I'm pretty pleased with this year's draft. We filled a lot of the holes we needed to fill and got some nice value picks. With the news of Kiwanuka's move to LB, this draft looks that much better. I'm very excited to see how everyone looks come training-camp.

P.S. You're link to Jay Alford's video links to Michael Johnson's video. Here's the link you meant to post for Alford: http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/footba ... er&p=86425

Yes, he was drafted. As of now the Giants only kicker is Marc Hickok who was just recently signed and has 0 years of experience.

As for punter the Giants still have Feagles under contract (he has decided to play at least one more year) and Cory Ohnesorge (no idea who this guy is)

This really still is a major problem; especially considering how much the giants rely on their kickers to put points on the board (they never finish well in the red zone).

I really hope it gets addressed soon as I don't know who else is sill available in free agency.

haha that one links to michael johnson too. in fact they all do lol. I think it's because it's an embedded flash file so when you type the name in it changes the video but not the actual url.

it's easy to just type the names in yourself but here's the links for the lazy:

I REALLY loved our first 2 Rounds of Picks. The draft was stacked with LB...we filled our needs, got one of the Top 3 CBs IMO in the Draft, and got a great steal with Smith.

When the 2nd Round rolled around and it was like 3-4 Picks before the Giants I was like YES! Smith is still on the Board, with 1 Pick to go I was like PLEASE pick Smith if he lasts...and low and behold we pick him. He and Plaxico will make a great tandem for us for awhile.

We really helped fortify a lot of holes through the Draft...
